The New Zealand Nationals for 1/8th scale buggies and truggies was held over the weekend and it was Australian driver Wayne Walker that came away with the 2007 National buggy title. La Nouvelle-Zélande pour les ressortissants 1/8th échelle poussettes et truggies a eu lieu pendant le week-end et il a été pilote australien Wayne Walker qui sont repartis avec le 2007 National buggy titre. Having lined up first for the hour long final, the Mugen racer was able to pull out a lead ahead of 2nd placed HongNor racer Peter Brimmer to finish 2 laps ahead at the end of the race with Associated racer Ryan O’Connor in 3rd. Dans la classe truggy il était l'homme pôle Peter Brimmer, la course HongNor X1CRT, qui a eu cette victoire de 2 tours en face du conducteur Kyosho Mike Stratford avec 3e placé Tim McKay, de conduire le Xray XT8, quelques secondes plus loin à la fin de l'heure final.
