The first round of the Spanish 1/8th scale gas Nationals was run last weekend in dry weather at the Cañete track in Cordoba. Qualifying saw the top spot for the semi finals go to GS racer Richi Gomez with current European Champion Robert Battle claiming the top spot for the other semi final. It was Mugen racer Daniel Vega however that claimed the quickest time in the semi to take the pole position for the main final with Borja Hernandez starting from the 2nd position.
