The opening round of the Italian 1/8th scale buggy Nationals took place last weekend at the Valley Sporting Club track in Alberobello and after the semi finals it was Losi driver Riccardo Rabitti that lined up on the pole position ahead of Crono team driver Davide Tortorici. In the final however, despite setting the fastest lap times, Rabitti could only manage 3rd position, only 1 second behind runner up Fabio Boero racing a Mugen, while the race win went to Tortorici, who managed to bring his Crono RS7 home over a lap in front. Im Finale jedoch, trotz der Festlegung der schnellsten Rundenzeiten, Rabitti könnte nur verwalten 3. Lage, nur 1 Sekunde hinter Läufer bis Fabio Boero MUGEN-Rennen ein, während das Rennen zu gewinnen, ging Tortorici, verwaltet, um seine Crono RS7 Hause über eine Runde vor.
