Tamiya TRF416 Chassis & Volac MS C3 Categories - Tamiya, Controllers, Electric, Accessories, Products , trackback
Tamiya have announced the upcoming release of some new parts for their TRF416 touring car. A new chassis will be made available, which is machined from 2.5mm thick carbon fibre, compared to 2.25mm of the standard plate, and designed for use in high grip conditions. The chassis can easily accept anything from 4 to 6 cells and integrates the company’s air duct system for cooling the motor. Also new is a set that not only includes this new chassis but also a carbon fibre battery brace and all the other parts necessary to mount a straight configuration battery pack. Finally, Tamiya will also release a pretty sweet looking re-branded KO Propo VFS-1 speed controller, called the Volac MS C3.

Although the ESC would be nice, it is looking to cost around 300-350 in the shops! I think i’ll stick with my VFS version 2, its cheaper. Depending on what profiles are loaded on the ESC which may be Tamiya “specials” I dont think the extra cost vs. the KO VFS is worth it.
Wow this is interesting. My Tamiya friends sure dig for this. I’m gonna inform them. Thanks for this info.
I might consider going onroad after this .. with all these quality parts. Where have i been? Gosh.
