Yokomo MR-4TC BD5 touring car

The latest version of the MR-4TC touring from Yokomo has been released, the BD5. This car was used by Masami Hirosaka to take 3rd spot at last years World Championships and following some refinement from that car, they have released it to the public. The BD5 is an evolution of the previous model and has been tweaked to make the car more stable and make maintenance easier. This rubber spec car is supplied with a 2.5mm thick carbon fibre chassis, 2.0mm thick top deck, 3.5mm thick shock towers, a front one way and newly designed CVDs.

I think, redRC made a mistake. This is tamiya 416 hirosaka edition ;-))

That is a full copy of the 416. By doing this Yokomo will always be one step behind. When launching a new car they need to try making something that is better than the competition. But here they havent even tried.

its sad they made a “copy” of the 415, now this? I know that touring car design has not changed much just that the overall design is pretty much as evolved as posssible. But they could have at least changed from a blue anodizing to diferentiate from the 416. I know Yokomo was original with the YR-4 when it came out, be original again!

The TRF 415 is the Tamiya version of the Tech Racing MY 02, which has been released two years ago. They have developed the car together, and tamiya just adapted the design to make its own car.

FYI..

everybody copies from everybody.. that was my point i was trying to get at

if you look closely, the steering blocks are different on this car vs 416

i think each car has it’s merits
