Mobers does double at European Pan Series Rd1
Categories - Electric, International, Racing - trackback
The opening round of the European Pan Series for 1/12th scale took place last weekend in Germany and saw just over 40 drivers competing in both the Pro Stock and Modified classes, with the former being the most popular. Serpent driver Markus Mobers, one of the series organisers, took the top qualifying spot in both classes and would go on to win both classes with European Stock class Champion Marc Fisher taking the runner up spot both times. In the Pro Stock class it was Vesa Yli that took the 3rd spot, while in the modified class it was Daniel Sieber that was 3rd. Interestingly Mobers was testing a new prototype S120 link car in the Modified class, while retaining the T-bar for Pro Stock.

Congrats to Markus, he is doing well, and I know he is instrumental in trying to get Pro-10 back on its feet.

My opinion World Gt is a joke. That class is a result of introducing a new class with no thinking. Bodies are ugly and unrealistic, wheels are too small, foam tyres are not the way to go and the chassis are almost 15 year old technology. It needs a lot more work than taking a class that has been dead for 15 years and think it will be sucessful in europe just like that.

*lol* are you afraid of something??
There is no cheaper way in bringing people into RC Car racing, its so easy to setup and drive!

It is for sure possible to create interesting new on road classes but it takes work and thinking. I’m sure any pan car style class as it known today will never be sucessful. F1 on rubber tyres that is big in japan currently might have some potential but I’m not sure. Easy to setup and drive sounds like something typically from USA.
