Patrick Schäfer wins Rd4 in middle Germany

Last weekend the 4th round of the Middle German Championship took place in Kastellaun in the midwest of Germany. In total 22 drivers in different classes attended this event to score points for the championship. In the 1/10th class Patrick Schäfer had a great weekend with his Sonic powered Velox V10 “twelve” testing a new chassis and radio plate with a new battery mount for a standard 5-cell battery pack. After the first qualification heat on Saturday evening he was Top Qualifier 11 seconds in front of second placed Hartmut Rose. On Sunday morning it began to rain and there were no more try qualification heats. For the finals it stopped to rain and the track dried completely. Patrick Schäfer won the race in front of Hartmut Rose and Shepherd driver Sascha Vorgrümler in 3rd position.
