C.Andy’s AHA race management system

C.Andy's AHA race management system

C.Andy’s have produced this AHA race management system for clubs and event/series organisers. The system places a small circuit board between the LiPo and the ESC which limits the electricity delivered to the ESC. The amount can be easily programmed by the organiser and easily checked through the use of LEDs. If the racer uses too much power the system will blink red and the driver wont pass post race scrutiny. The idea is to equalise the power from different ESCs, batteries and motors for example if you are using too much timing, you will use more power.

It is sad that this is even developed. Most drivers can’t even drive the car like a pro and need to equalize the current. Just let the hobby stay a hobby! Learn to drive your car with a 21.5 then a 17.5 and so on!

Makes no since IMO!

What problem does this solve?

Waste of time and space as there are many zero timing escs on the market with software thats approved for this type of spec racing .from an engineers point of you a stupid idea sums it all up.

This guys are just demonstrating some useless technology they developed. Lol!!!
And redrc thought, oh! Great idea…

Spend some time teching a big race and listening to all the stock racers complaining about others who “must be cheating” and then you will understand. Gain that point of view and this seems like an interesting idea.

Looks good to me. Keeps everything equal in a class. Going from 21.5 to 17.5, etc is nothing to do with it. Better drivers do not necessarily drive faster classes!

I think the idea is interesting and look forward to seeing where this goes.

I don’t see the point we have blinky for a far playing feild and boosted for speed nuts like me ( I do both) all I see is motor wars, u limit something ppl will for for a edge with motors tyres setup it is never fair but its been like that for ever

Also if I brought a £200 all singing dancing esc to keep up or to get an edge y would I want some one to say run this so it’s the same as a £40 esc racers are going to feel like they have wasted their money

As ppl say if u can’t handle the speed drop down a class ,run blinky not boosted
U might as well get a single brand setup car tyres shell batteries handset esc motor then it’s down to the driver just my view

fantastic idea!!! cant wait to see this at all the major events.
that will stop the cheating. everone will have to learn how to gear their cars and learn how to setup their cars.

i bet you could cheat with this unit if you wanted there is always a way round everything, i can wait! , plus if your running blinky like me its all down to gearing and setup so how does it stop ppl cheating, i bet i can add alittle bit of turbo say 5 deg to a car to gain 1-2 mph and use the same amount of amps as a blinky if i spent time with setup (i wouldnt do this but i bet half the ppl in my club with a meeting or 2 could do this also ),so all it tells the event holder if there is a stupid cheater or some one bad at setting up a esc

if u put this on a turbo car all your doing is limiting the turbo and y if its allowed, y cant someone run 60deg of timing if they like also you can go just as fast with 18deg all your doing is telling ppl you cant set the esc the way they want leading to upset ppl

turbo and mod is meant to be the the fast classes leave them as they r, blinky is limited for fair racing so y is it needed

i say there has been to many changes to our hobby driving ppl away leave it be, its great the resaons it was made but just causes more hassle more so for the slow ppl that cant setup a esc that might draw to much power and bring on the light but will be slow down the straight compaired to the fast boys
