Mack & Kremer win in Wiesbaden

Mack & Kremer win in Wiesbaden

Last weekend the final round of the Central German Championship took place at the WMC Wiesbaden track. In the Expert class it was a close fight for the TQ between the Shepherd drivers Oliver Mack, and Freddy Südhoff at his second outing with the Velox V8. After 4 rounds it was Oliver Mack who was on top of the time sheets with less than a second in front of Freddy Südhoff.

Both drivers had no problem to win their semi finals with Olli taking the pole position and Freddy lining up 2nd on the grid. Both drivers pulled away from the rest of the field with Olli increasing the gap on Freddy slightly step by step. At the 20 minute mark Freddy ran into trouble and he had to retire because of a broken ball bearing. This gave Olli some room and he crossed the finishing line 4 laps in front of Olaf Engelmann with Alex Schmitt completing the podium.

In the Amateur class young Shepherd driver Philipp Kremer dominated the whole weekend. In qualifying he took the TQ by a convincing margin of 9 seconds in front of Christian Heid. He won his semi-final without any trouble and secured himself the pole-position for the 40 minute main final. Although he was late for start and had to enter the race nearly one lap down on the field he stormed to the front in a couple of minutes and took control of the race. After 40 minutes he ended the race some 3 laps ahead of Christian Heid. Michal Holla completed the podium another 2 laps down.
