Viljami Kutvonen wins at Russian Touring Masters

The 2015 Russian Touring Masters was held in Agalatavo, around 10km outside of St. Petersburg. The race attracted the fastest drivers from Russia and fast Finn Viljami Kutvonen. The grip was expected to be low so Sweep 24 tyres were chosen as handout tyre for the event, which proved to be the right choice in the end. Right from the start Viljami Kutvonen topped the timing sheets followed by Georgy Chmigal in 2nd, Kirill Trofimov 3rd and Denis Zuykov 4th.

After the qualifying it was again Viljami Kutvonen who was clearly the fastest of them all, and the battle for 2nd spot was on between Georgy Chmigal who ultimately took the second spot on the grid, followed by Kirill Trofimov 3rd and Denis Zuykov 4th. In the finals Viljami showed once again a dominating performance, winning all finals to take the Modified class title. Behind him the fight for the runner-up spot was on between four drivers with Georgy Chmigal being able to defend his 2nd place in front of Denis Zuykov who improved by one position due to leavening Kirill Trofimov behind in 4th.
