Bowie Ginting wins at Jakarta Regionals opener

The opening round of the Jakarta Regionals was held at the Sunter International Speedway in the three classes of Open Brushless, FWD and Mini. Light rain made for changing and unpredictable traction conditions and in the Open Brushless class Bowie Ginting was the one who made the best out of the conditions by TQing round one and two of the qualifiers to grab the overall TQ and the pole position for the finals. Christian Mamesah would come out fastest in round three to grab the 2 spot on the grid.

The opening A-main then was a pretty straight forward affair for Bowie and Christian who took off with no problem, bringing home the 1-2 spots with Arya in third. A2 started with a delay after a light rain shower and again Bowie and Christian made a clean start and Christian would cover Bowie for much of the race until a last lap mistake gave Bowie room to breath and thus the second win and the overall victory. Leg three would decide for the remaining podium spots and with a win Christian would take the overall runner-up spot from Arya Seta in third.
