French EP Off-road Nationals Rd1 – Report

The opening round of the French 1/10th electric off-road national championship was hosted by the Sport RC 56 club in Merlevenez this past weekend. In the 2WD Mod Buggy class it was Mathieu Briere with the overall TQ after the five rounds of qualifying, leaving behind Julien Formentin and Clement Boda in 2nd and 3rd respectively. In the triple A-mains however young Team Associated talent Clement would excel, and by winning A1 and A2 he would take the overall victory early and with one leg to spare. Yokomo’s Julien Formentin and Team Associated’s Julien Parnot could come in 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The 4WD Mod Buggy class was TQ’ed by Team Corally’s Thomas Musso who left behind Mathieu Briere in 2nd with the two being tie on points. The A-main finals then again saw Thomas Musso on top of things, however Mathieu had to settle for 5th overall as Thomas Anger (Xray) and Clement Boda (Team Associated) snatched the final podium spots on front of Arnaud Matohanza.

Finally in the Stadium Truck class it was Yokomo’s Julien Formentin with the TQ from Team Associated’s Julien Parnot and the two would also make up the top 2 after the triple A-mains as Arnaud Matohanza (Xray) completed the top 3 result.
