Kyosho Inferno ST-RR Evo competition kit
Kyosho have updated the Inferno ST with further enhancements to create the most powerful version yet in the form of the Inferno ST RR EVO. The RR EVO adds the small diameter flywheel adopted from the 1/8 Buggy World Champion Inferno MP9, strengthened straight cut bevel gears and dial-adjustable big bore shocks for precision setting. The newly designed body combines a low profile form and forward cabin with the MP9’s rear wing to produce sure-footed rear grip and superior maneuverability. Expect a September release.

Pro-Line TLR22 & Lazer ZX-5 BullDog shells
Pro-Line have released their BullDog shell for the Losi TLR22 in both rear and mid motor configuration. To date, all of the bodies made for this car have sacrificed looks and performance due to the dual motor configuration. If you race primarily in the mid motor or rear motor configuration PL have a body for each of those setups. The new mid motor body also features a large scoop to maximize clearance and air flow to your motor and electronics. The advanced aerodynamic properties and cab-forward styling will improve your buggies performance and turn heads. Pro-Line have also released the BullDog body to fit the Kyosho Lazer ZX-5.

Cody King’s special WC edition MP9
Trying to commemorate his son Cody’s World Championship victory in Pattaya, Paul King wanted to do something special with his Inferno MP9 buggy. Following a conversation with Red RC (yes, that’s us) at the Dirt Nitro Challenge, he decided to anodise the aluminium parts red, which along with the yellow AKA rims and blue springs, match the racing colours of the World Champion perfectly. It also happens to be the main colour of Japanese sponsor Kyosho and his Orion engine so it all worked out. Paul sent the parts down to Danco Anodizing in Arcadia California, who along with Cody’s friend Colin Herzig at Production Lapping Inc. in Monrovia, made the arrangements and the result is what you see here. Expect to see it hit the track at this weekend’s Silverstate in Las Vegas, which you can follow here on Red RC.

FTW Racing Components today announced its official company debut. Created to equip radio control car enthusiasts and serious racers with components exhibiting form and function that defies convention, FTW RC will produce bodies, wings, and associated parts for 1:10 and 1:8 scale radio control cars. Along with the company debut, FTW RC announced its initial lineup of 1:10 scale off-road buggy bodies, including versions for the popular Team Associated B4.1, Schumacher Cougar SV and Kyosho Ultima RB5 platforms. FTW RC will continue to expand beyond the initial product offering to include bodies for most 1:10 and 1:8 scale platforms. According to co-founder Joshua Riewe, “Prototype FTW bodies for several popular 1:8 scale buggy platforms are currently undergoing testing at national level races. The lessons we learn from in-race testing will be incorporated into the final products that will soon be available to the public.”
