The option parts for the Xray XB808 keep coming with the release of this adjustable aluminium rear hub carrier. CNC-machined from premium lightweight Swiss 7075 T6 aluminium, it has been hard coated for extra durability and long life. Ultra-strong construction provides very long life and durability in even the most extreme racing conditions. Smart Xray engineering includes use of composite bushings to secure ball-bearings in both sides of the hub carrier; allowing perfect fitting and smooth operation to ultimately impart much higher lifetime compared to bearings installed directly into aluminium hub carriers.

Predator X11 Big Bore shocks Categories - Team Extreme, Accessories, Off Road, Products - comments closed
Our mates over at oOple have the first information on the new ‘big bore’ shock absorbers from Team Extreme, manufacturers of the Predator X11 4WD electric buggy, who brought some of the first production examples to the recent Talywain BRCA National. Nathan Ralls has been testing the shocks behind closed doors for a while now, but has finally started to race the car in public - first time out at the recent South East regional, and a win for the new X11 driver with these new shocks. The new shock absorbers are the same length but Team Xtreme have maxxed out the diameter to the limits of what would fit within the existing range of springs.

Xray have produced more option parts for the XB808 with the release of a full range of front and rerar anti-roll bar wires of different thicknesses for fine-tuning the setup of your XB808. These anti-roll bars are manually manufactured in-house from premium heat-treated spring steel wire using precision bending machines that ensure equal side angles. Manually measured, selected, and straightened to eliminate all tweak. The front anti-roll bars come in 2.0mm, 2.2mm, 2.4mm, 2.6mm & 2.8mm thickness’s, while the rear anti roll bars are available in 2.2mm, 2.4mm, 2.6mm and 2.8mm thickness’s.

Xray have released some 10° alu caster blocks for the XB808, which are CNC-machined from premium Swiss 7075 T6 aluminum and hard coated for extra durability and long life. Ultra-strong construction provides very long life and durability in even the most extreme racing conditions. These lightweight blocks feature ‘zero kingpin’ suspension geometry and the pre-set 10° caster block is integrated and non-adjustable. Combined with the XB808 front kick-up of 10° this block gives a total caster angle of 20° for increased steering and precision.

Xray have released these high-performance racing springs for their XB808 buggy, that have been specially developed to give better balance and an additional range of choices to fine-tune your car. Developed through extensive testing and racing experience, these linear springs use the same thickness of wire for each spring, and stiffness is controlled by the number of coils. Softer springs have a lower “C” value and more coils; stiffer springs have a higher “C” value and fewer coils. Available as a pair of springs – to fit front and rear – the springs are individually measured, controlled, inspected and matched to provide identical damping characteristics. During the selection process, each spring is compressed in several fine increments and the values recorded, and then each spring is matched with another spring of identical characteristics.

Associated Big bores & Reedy engine Categories - Team Associated, Reedy, Engines, Off Road, Products - comments closed 
Seen at this weeks ROAR 1/8th scale buggy Nationals at Thunder Alley in Beaumont, California, are these big bore shock absorbers on the Associated RC8. Currently being used by the factory team at this race, they are close to release pending some final parts getting produced. Also seen on some of the team cars, is new steering geometry, which combined with the new shocks increase corner speed and improve rough track handling. New from Reedy is a yet unnamed proprietary .21 engine in the final stages of testing and is being run by Rick Hohwart and Scott Brown at this event.
