Tosolini wins Italian Open Champion race Tosolini Victoires Ouvert champion italien course Categories - Events, Gas, On Road, National, Racing - add a comment
Held last weekend at the Gubbio track in Italy, was the first Italian Open Champion Race for 1/10th 200mm touring cars. Featuring a number of big name racers, including Top US racer Chris Tosolini, qualifying saw current European Champion Dario Balestri take the pole position for the main final ahead of Francesco Tironi in 2nd and Sirio team mate Tosolini lining up 3rd. The 2nd round of the French Nationals for 1/8th scale buggies was held last weekend at the Viglain track in the centre of the country. Le 2e tour des ressortissants français pour poussettes 1/8th échelle s'est tenue le week-end dernier à la Viglain piste dans le centre du pays. In qualifying, it was Mugen racer Renaud Savoya that took the top qualifying spot in front of Xray racer Jerome Sartel in 2nd, while Kyosho driver Jerome Aigoin took 3rd ahead of his brother Yannick Aigoin, driving a Losi, in 4th. The 2nd round of the Spanish 1/8th scale buggy Nationals was run at the weekend at the Silla track in Valencia. Qualifying saw Qualifications vu round 1 1 tour winner Robert Batlle stamp his authority on the event by taking the top qualifying spot from Richi Gomez in 2nd and Borja Hernandez 3rd. After the semi finals it was Robert who would start from pole in the main final and with a clear track in front of him he could claim the lead from the start. The Hobao driver would eventually take the win at the end of the 45 minute final by only 6 seconds from the battling pair of Richi Gomez and Borja Hernandez, Gomez taking the runner up spot by just over half a second in front of Borja. Neo Buggy are reporting on a fantastic weekend for Christoffer Svensson at the Nordic Xray Challenge, who dominated the whole race from start to finish with double TQ, double pole position and wins in both the buggy and truggy classes. In the buggy main, Svensson took the lead from pole before dropping to 2nd on lap 2, and then retaking the lead before driving away. The finals at this years Pre Worlds in Thailand have been run under dry conditions as the expected rains didnt show up. Leg 1 of the main final saw Masami Hirosaka take the win for Yokomo as early leader Viktor Wilck clipped a kerb which allowed following pair of Marc Rheinard and Masami through, though Marc went wide leaving Hirosaka into the lead and on to take the win. Qualifying for this weekend’s Pre Worlds in Thailand has taken place and despite the rain coming down last night, and threatening to come down later on in qualifying, the organisers managed to get 5 rounds of qualifying in, with the best 3 counting. Qualifications pour ce week-end de pré Worlds en Thaïlande a eu lieu et malgré la pluie qui descendait la nuit dernière, et en menaçant de descendre plus tard dans la qualification, les organisateurs ont réussi à obtenir 5 tours de qualification, avec la meilleure compter 3. In the end it was Swedish Tamiya driver Viktor Wilck that has come out on top, ahead of his team mate, and former World Champion Marc Rheinard in 2nd. En fin de compte, il a été pilote suédois Tamiya Wilck que Viktor est venu en tête, devant son coéquipier et ancien champion du monde de Marc Rheinard en 2ème. The Warm up event for this years Touring car World Championships in November is being run at in Thailand this week under mixed weather conditions. Following 2 rounds of controlled practice today, it was Hot Bodies racer, and former World Champion, Atsushi Hara from Japan that was setting the pace. Sitting 4 seconds clear at the top, Hara set his quickest time in the first of the 2 sessions and now sits nearly 4 seconds clear of Kyosho Factory driver Shin Adachi (pictured), who is currently in 2nd. We reported yesterday on the Belgian 200mm Nous avons signalé hier sur le belge 200mm T2 class results Classe les résultats T2 and now we have the T1 results from the same day at the Rumst Track. et maintenant nous avons les résultats T1 du même jour, à Rumst la piste. Race day saw the qualifying take place under dry conditions and it was Jonathan Sanza that took the pole position from Jerome Renaux in 2nd and Maarten Kempeneers in 3rd. Jour de la course a vu la qualification ont lieu dans des conditions sèches et il est Jonathan Sanza qui a pris la pole position de Jérôme Renaux en 2ème et Maarten Kempeneers en 3e. In the start of the race, the clouds started to darken but it continued to be dry until about 15 minutes in when it finally started to rain. En début de la course, les nuages ont commencé à foncer, mais elle a continué à être sec jusqu'à environ 15 minutes quand il a finalement commencé à pleuvoir. As everyone went into the pits for a tire change, this left Kempeneers in the lead as he had decided to stay out a little longer to avoid the chaos in the pitlane.
