Andy Moore heads up Euro 1/12th practice Categories - Electric, Events, International, On Road, Racing - comments closed
Current 1/10th Touring car World Champion Andy Moore (not pictured above) is setting the pace after Fridays practice at the 1/12th European Championships held in Sweden. The British driver was 4 seconds clear of second place Simo Ahoniemi from Finland with German driver Markus Mobers in 3rd, a further 4 seconds back. Its, of course, only early stages and the drivers are still trying to find their best setup to go into qualifying, which starts tomorrow, so todays times are just a very rough estimation of who is quick. Finish gas racing specialist Teemu Saarinen was 4th fastest after todays practice sessions with dominant British champion Andy Griffiths lying in 5th.

South American Championships, Chile Categories - Events, Gas, International, Off Road, Racing - comments closed
Last weekend saw the biggest off road race in Chile for this year when the country played host to the 2007 South American Championships at a track in Santiago. The race saw competitors from Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, Peru, Venezuela, Argentina and even some drivers from the United States, Canada and Germany, and so National pride was as important in this race as the individual result. In the end the race was won by Argentinian Mugen driver Adrian Castro with 2nd place going to Venezuelan, and pole position man, Daniel Ferreira driving a Jammin buggy, Patricio Concha from Chile rounded off the podium in 3rd also running a Jammin buggy.
