Simon Reeves, driving a Team Losi XXX4 buggy, has totally dominated round 1 of the Stotfold Winter Series, held last weekend. Having TQ’d the event Simon went on to win all 3 of his finals to take the round win and the lead in the championship. LRP are reporting on their site on the success of their products in Russia and particularly the 2006 Russian Outdoor Championships that was won by 3 time National Champion Ivan Laptev. Ivan, using with a brushless LRP motor, has captured his third consecutive outdoor title on the back of having just taken the Indoor National title as well. OK, i know this race took place over 3 weeks ago but it was an important race and the event report only just showed up on the Novarossi website. More RC Pro Series news, this time its the turn of the off road guys or in this case, guy, as top international racer Adam Drake took the title in both the Buggy and Truck classes. Fredy Andres has won round 7 of the Carioca Championships that were held last weekend in Brazil. Fredy Andrés ha ganado ronda 7 del Campeonato Carioca que se celebraron el pasado fin de semana en Brasil. The penultimate round of the championships Fredy won the pro buggy class driving a GS ahead of Helio Mattos with a Thunder Tiger in 2nd with Kyosho racer Ricardo Queros in 3rd. La penúltima ronda de los campeonatos Fredy ganó el pro buggy clase la conducción de un cuadro de servicios generales, por delante de Helio Mattos con un Thunder Tiger en 2 º con Kyosho atleta Ricardo Queros en 3er. The last round of the championship takes place next week and all three classes are still wide open after 7 races. Just a quick post to mention that last weekend the 2006 Tamiya World Championships were held at a large indoor exhibition hall in Shizouka, Japan.
