Xray are reporting on the 2008 18th Scale Indoor Off-road Race of Champions that were held last Sunday at RC Madness in Enfield CT. Xray se rendre compte de la 18e Scale Indoor 2008 Off-road Course des Champions qui se sont déroulées dimanche dernier au RC Madness en Enfield CT. This was the third year that this warm up race for the 18th Scale Off-road Nationals was held and attendance at the race was good with approximately 80 entries. C'était la troisième année que cette course à réchauffer la 18e Scale ressortissants hors route a eu lieu et la participation à la course a été bonne, avec environ 80 entrées. Three rounds of qualifiers were run and then the mains and it was Zack Barry that finished the qualifiers with the TQ in all three classes entered, he also won every qualifier that he ran. We got word from Shepherd Racing that We got mot de Pasteur que Racing newly signed Nouvellement signé team driver Daniele Ielasi won last weekend in Lucca, Italy in his first race with the Velox. With the Shepherd team, consisting of Robert Pietsch, Patrick Schäfer and Armin Weihert, in attendance to give support, Daniele quickly became comfortable with the car and could improve his lap times constantly. The race saw 50 drivers in attendance including 2 time European Champion Dario Balestri as well as Marco Vanni and Stefano Puccinelli and after Saturday’s practice session it was clear that the battle for the win would be between Dario and Daniele. La course a vu la participation de 50 conducteurs dont 2 fois champion d'Europe Dario Balestri ainsi que Marco et Stefano Vanni Puccinelli et après la séance du samedi, il était clair que la bataille pour la victoire serait entre Dario et Daniele. After 3 qualifying rounds on Sunday morning, and with drivers battling with fuel consumption, it was Balestri that took the pole position just in front of Ielasi in 2nd. Après 3 tours de qualification le dimanche matin, et avec les conducteurs luttes avec la consommation de carburant, il a été Balestri qui ont pris la pole position juste devant Ielasi en 2nd. With changes to his muffler prior to the final Daniele immediately jumped into the lead in front of Balestri, Vanni and Puccinelli and up to the first pit stop the Velox racer could increase his lead at the front of the pack. Serpent have announced that young German racer Tobias Hepp has been signed to the Serpent Driver Development program, which aims to assist up and coming racers in their quest to reach the highest levels of the sport. Serpent ont annoncé que le jeune coureur allemand Tobias Hepp a été signé à la Serpent Driver Development programme, qui vise à aider les coureurs en place et à venir dans leur quête d'atteindre les plus hauts niveaux du sport. 14-year-old Tobias has been racing for 5 years and has made a big impression in his home country, winning his first major RC championship title in 2004, for the past two seasons has been the German 1:8th scale Junior National Champion. 14 ans Tobias course a été pendant 5 ans et a fait une grosse impression dans son pays d'origine, remportant son premier titre majeur RC championnat en 2004, au cours des deux dernières saisons a été l'allemand échelle 1:8 ème championne nationale junior. This season will see him race in both the 1:8 and 1:10 200mm German Nationals, while in addition to his National racing the youngster will travel to Austria and Spain for the European 1:8th B and A Championships respectively. Serpent have a report from their team driver Joern Neumann who was in action last weekend at the Kyosho International Indoor in Ostrava in the Czech Republic. Serpent ont un rapport de leur équipe Joern Neumann conducteur qui était en action le week-end dernier à la Kyosho International Indoor à Ostrava en République tchèque. The event was held in a large ice hockey arena with the surface made up of carpet and a kind of grass, which made tire choice very difficult. L'événement a eu lieu dans un grand aréna de hockey sur glace à la surface composé d'une sorte de tapis et de l'herbe, ce qui rend très difficile le choix des pneus. Following some tire tests, Joern found the correct balance and managed to win 3 of the 4 qualifiers to take the event TQ. Après quelques essais de pneus, Joern trouvé le bon équilibre et a réussi à remporter 3 des 4 qualificatifs pour tenir l'événement TQ. Once through the semis, in which he drove most of the final in 2wd after a broken drive shaft, he was able to pull out a clear lead in the main final, winning by 2 laps from Kyosho driver Daniel Reckward in 2nd and Gerhardt Frank in 3rd. Dès le semis, dans laquelle il a conduit la majeure partie de la finale en 2wd cassé après un arbre d'entraînement, il était capable de sortir un net avantage dans les principales finale, remportant par 2 tours de Kyosho conducteur Daniel Reckward en 2e et en Gerhardt Frank 3rd.

The first round of the Puerto Rico Championships was held last weekend in Barceloneta, with the event open to 1/8th scale and 1/10th 200mm. La première manche du Championnat de Porto Rico a eu lieu le week-end dernier dans la Barceloneta, à l'événement ouvert à 1/8th échelle 1/10ème et 200mm. In the 1/8 scale class it was Mugen team driver Andy Báez that took the TQ spot and in the 30 minute final the IDM powered racer took the win by 1 lap in front of Juan C. Rodríguez in 2nd and Fernando Méndez in 3rd. Dans le 1 / 8 échelle de la classe, il a été pilote de l'équipe Mugen Andy Báez TQ qui a pris la place et dans les 30 minutes de la finale IDM powered coureur prend la victoire par 1 tour face à Juan C. Rodríguez en 2e et en 3e Fernando Méndez. In the Sedan class it was again Andy Báez that took the TQ with his Mugen but in the final finished 2nd after a long battle with Kyosho driver Geovanni Gónzalez. In the end of the 45 minute final the gap between to first and 2nd placed racers was 3 laps with 3rd placed Jesús M. Rivera a further 2 laps back. En bout de 45 minutes de la finale de l'écart entre la première et la 2ème place coureurs était de 3 tours avec 3e placé M. Jesús Rivera encore de 2 tours en arrière.
