The producers of the great RC TV show RC Racing were once again in contact to inform us of the upcoming Episode 4 which premieres this Wednesday on European cable channel Motors TV. Last weekend saw the first race of the 2008 regional season take place in the centre of Spain in a town called Valladolid. Letztes Wochenende war das erste Rennen der Saison 2008 stattfinden regionalen im Zentrum von Spanien in einer Stadt namens Valladolid. The weather was very windy and cold and the drivers had to contend with a slippery track, but the atmosphere was good and everybody enjoyed themselves. Das Wetter war sehr kalt und windig, und die Fahrer mussten mit einer rutschigen Strecke, aber die Stimmung war gut und alle genossen werden. The final saw Mugen driver Daniel Vega start from pole position and he went on to win the race ahead of Losi driver Felix Zamorano in 2nd with Hoboa racer David Marcos in 3rd. Horizon Hobby in the UK are delighted to announced that top off road racer Jon Hazlewood has joined their team to race Losi and Spektrum for 2008. Horizon Hobby in Großbritannien sind erfreut, bekannt gegeben, dass Anfang off road racer Jon Hazlewood hat sich ihr Team nach Rasse und Losi Spektrum für 2008. He will be using the new Spektrum DX3R, Losi 8ight and 8ight-T at all events of his choice along with this years Euros and the all important World Championships. Er wird mit dem neuen Spektrum DX3R, Losi 8ight und 8ight-T auf jeden Fall seiner Wahl mit diesem Jahr den Euro und alle wichtigen Weltmeisterschaften. Jon brings with him his long standing pit man Jon Dell, years of experience and an amazing dedication to his racing and leaves behind a team who have supported him over the past few years and Jon had this to say. Jon bringt ihn mit seiner langjährigen pit Mann Jon Dell, langjährige Erfahrung und eine erstaunliche Hingabe an seine Renn-und hinterlässt eine Mannschaft, die ihn unterstützt haben in den letzten Jahren und Jon hatte dies zu sagen.
I am leaving a very hard working team who have given me great support, but I feel it is now time for a change and some new challenges. Merlin Fuel have announced that German racer, and Serpent chief designer, Michael Salven will contest this season using their products. Merlin Fuel haben angekündigt, dass die deutsche Rennfahrer, Serpent und Chef-Designer, Michael Salven Wettbewerb wird in dieser Saison mit ihren Produkten. Michael has been 4 time European Champion, 2 time World Champion and has won lots of National titles in both 1:10th and 1:8th scale, which makes him one of the most experienced drivers around. Michael wurde 4 Mal der europäischen Meistervereine, 2 Mal Weltmeister und gewann viele Titel in der National beide 1:10 und 1:8 th th Skala, die ihn zu einem der erfahrensten Fahrer herum. Together with the Merlin R+D Department, he will be giving his input to help improve the Spanish company’s range of products. Losi have announced that 2007 ROAR National Champion Adam Drake will campaign Mario Rossi Tuned engines from GRP through to 2010. Drake joins Losi factory drivers Mike Truhe and Yannick Aigoin who have previously announced their commitment to running GRP Engines. This weekend saw the first round of the 2008 Catalunyan Championships take place in Santa Perpetua, and saw 65 racers in attendance. After the wet weather on Saturday, Sunday stayed dry but overcast and saw European Champion, and new GRP signing, Robert Batlle take the top spot for the final. Nach dem nassen Wetter am Samstag, Sonntag blieb trocken, aber bewölkt und sah der europäischen Meistervereine, und neue GRP Unterzeichnung, Robert Batlle den ersten Platz für das Finale. In the race, the Hobao driver could take the win, finishing in front of Nanda racer Gerard Roig in 2nd, using the new SIIM engine, and Mugen driver Alex Brujas in 3rd. Xray are reporting on the 2008 18th Scale Indoor Off-road Race of Champions that were held last Sunday at RC Madness in Enfield CT. Xray die Berichterstattung über die 2008 18. Scale Indoor Off-Road-Race of Champions, fanden am vergangenen Sonntag beim RC Madness in Enfield CT. This was the third year that this warm up race for the 18th Scale Off-road Nationals was held and attendance at the race was good with approximately 80 entries. Dies war das dritte Jahr, dass dieses Rennen aufwärmen 18. Maßstab für die Off-Road-Nationals fand und die Teilnahme an dem Rennen war gut mit rund 80 Einträgen. Three rounds of qualifiers were run and then the mains and it was Zack Barry that finished the qualifiers with the TQ in all three classes entered, he also won every qualifier that he ran. Drei Runden waren Qualifier laufen und anschließend den Netzstecker, und es war Zack Barry, dass die Qualifikanten fertig mit dem TQ in allen drei Klassen eingetragen, er gewann auch jeder Qualifier, dass er lief. Zack went on to win the A-mains in all 3 classes, winning by 2 full laps in each race. Zack ging auf, um zu gewinnen die A-Netz in allen Klassen 3 und gewann durch 2 volle Runden in den einzelnen Rennen.

We got word from Shepherd Racing that Wir haben Wort von Shepherd Racing, newly signed Neu unterzeichnet team driver Daniele Ielasi won last weekend in Lucca, Italy in his first race with the Velox. Team Fahrer Daniele Ielasi gewann am letzten Wochenende in Lucca, Italien in seinem ersten Rennen mit dem Velox. With the Shepherd team, consisting of Robert Pietsch, Patrick Schäfer and Armin Weihert, in attendance to give support, Daniele quickly became comfortable with the car and could improve his lap times constantly. Mit der Shepherd-Team, bestehend aus Robert Pietsch, Patrick Schäfer und Armin Weihert, in der die Teilnahme zu geben, wurde schnell Daniele bequem mit dem Auto und konnte seine Rundenzeiten verbessern sich ständig. The race saw 50 drivers in attendance including 2 time European Champion Dario Balestri as well as Marco Vanni and Stefano Puccinelli and after Saturday’s practice session it was clear that the battle for the win would be between Dario and Daniele. Das Rennen war 50 Fahrer anwesend, darunter 2 Zeit European Champion Dario Balestri sowie Marco Vanni und Stefano Puccinelli und nach dem Samstag-Training, war es klar, dass der Kampf für den Sieg wäre zwischen Dario und Daniele. After 3 qualifying rounds on Sunday morning, and with drivers battling with fuel consumption, it was Balestri that took the pole position just in front of Ielasi in 2nd. Nach 3 Runden Qualifying am Sonntagmorgen, mit Treibern und kämpft mit Kraftstoffverbrauch, es war Balestri, die die Pole-Position direkt vor der 2. und Ielasi. With changes to his muffler prior to the final Daniele immediately jumped into the lead in front of Balestri, Vanni and Puccinelli and up to the first pit stop the Velox racer could increase his lead at the front of the pack. Mit Änderungen an seinem Auspuff vor der endgültigen Daniele sprang sofort in die Führung vor Balestri, Vanni und Puccinelli und bis zum ersten Boxenstopp die Velox racer erhöhen könnte seinen Vorsprung an der Vorderseite der Packung. By the middle of the final there was a gap of 8 seconds between the first 2 racers but 6 minutes before the end Dario had to stop with glowplug failure while Marco Vanni also had to retire because of gearbox problems.
