Copa de las Américas - ανακοίνωση Categories - Events, Gas, On Road, International, Racing - 1 comment so far
FAMAR και AAPARTT, η αργεντινή εθνική ομοσπονδία RC, έχουν επιλέξει AARBA (Asociación de Automodelismo Radiocontrolado de Μπουένος Άιρες) για να τρέξουν τα πρώτα πρωταθλήματα της Αμερικής. Αυτό το γεγονός θα πραγματοποιηθεί στο `κύκλωμα Hernan Matticoli» στις 6η έως τις 9 Νοεμβρίου 2008 και είναι ανοικτό στο 1/8 και το 1/10 στις οδικές κατηγορίες. Οι διοργανωτές κοιτάζουν προς τα εμπρός για να έχουν τη συμμετοχή των δρομέων και στις κατηγορίες και από τις διαφορετικές χώρες και να υποστηρίξουν ότι αυτό το γεγονός θα είναι μια παρόμοια διεθνής εμπειρία όπως παγκόσμια πρωταθλήματα κλίμακας τελευταίων ετών τα 1/8th, τα οποία πραγματοποιήθηκαν επίσης στην Αργεντινή.

Το Kyosho έχει αναγγείλει την απελευθέρωση ενός νέου συνδυασμού εξαρτήσεων και σωμάτων για το Spada τους 09, 1/12th τροφοδοτημένο αέριο πλαίσιο κλίμακας. Το νέο combo έρχεται με όλο το νέο υψηλό downforce τους rd-12EX, ένα κοχύλι σωμάτων που βελτιώνει το οπίσθιο πιάσιμο και τα γενικά διαχειριζόμενα χαρακτηριστικά.

Ο πρώτος κύκλος των αυστριακών υπηκόων οργανώθηκε στη 300m μακριά διαδρομή Kirchberg, υπό τους ξηρούς και ηλιόλουστους όρους. Τα προσόντα είδαν τη θέση πόλων πηγαίνουν στο δρομέα Gerhard Kandelhart φιδιών, με τον τραγουδιστή Manuel οδηγών ακτίνας X στο 2$ο και το Stefan Mayerhofer σε 3ος. Στην έναρξη τελικού, Pittner, Tomaschko και Kandelhart ήταν σε θέση να τραβήξουν γρήγορα μπροστά από το κύριο πακέτο, ενώ λόγω ενός οδηγώντας λάθους, ο τραγουδιστής είχε μακριά και μειώθηκε πίσω κάτω από τον τομέα. Back on the track and the Xray driver began to to catch those ahead and was able to take the lead and the win, finishing ahead of team mate Martin Pittner in 2nd and Daniel Tomaschko in 3rd.

Renaud Savoya wins Greece EFRA GP Categories - Gas, Off Road, International, Racing - add a comment
The EFRA GP in Greece for 1/8th scale buggies was held this weekend on the same track that will host this Summer’s European Championships. All the top European names were present, as well as current World Champion Mark Pavidis from the USA, who made the trip over to compete at the event. Qualifying saw the TQ go to Losi racer Yannick Aigoin, ahead of Mugen driver Renaud Savoya in 2nd and Serpent racer Joern Neumann in 3rd. After the Semi finals, it was Savoya that lined up on pole position ahead of Mugen team mate Daniel Vega in 2nd and that order stayed unchanged for the entire race with the real battle on for 3rd, which was finally taken by Kyosho driver Jerome Aigoin who managed to get passed his brother Yannick in the final minutes.

Held last weekend, the Tamiya Asia Cup offered a unique opportunity for Singaporean radio control racing fans to “strut their stuff” at this event which offered different variations of racing activities. This was also an opportunity for diehard race enthusiasts from all over Asia to congregate and compete against each other for a place in the finals. “Apart from encouraging Tamiya R/C owners to meet-up and exchange ideas and racing strategies, the overall winners of the respective Asia Cup categories will get to compete at the Tamiya Asia Cup Finals which will be held in Kulala Lumpur later this year, to qualify for the Tamiya World Cup in Shizuoka, Japan,” explained Andrew Law, Director of Stargek Pte Ltd, Tamiya’s Official Exclusive Distributor for Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.

ETS Andernach - LeMieux confirmed Categories - ETS, On Road, International, Racing - add a comment
The organisers of the Much More backed European Touring Series, which sees its final round of the 07/08 series take place in Andernach Germany, have confirmed that US superstar racer Paul LeMieux will be coming to round 4 on the 27th - 29th of June. Paul is looking forward to travelling to Europe to race against the some of the top drivers in the World, in order to help him prepare for the up coming World Championships later this year in Thailand. Paul is sponsored by US Xray and Hudy distributor RC America as well as Trinity, Protoform, Jaco and Futaba.
