On Tour(ex) – Tourex tyre review
Soft, medium or …
The Tourex tyres come in four different compounds. ‘Soft’ is usually used in wet or very cold weather as well as on very slippery tracks. ‘Medium’ is a universal compound for slippery as well as rutted tracks. It combines precise handling characteristics with high grip, good traction and a low wear rate. The ‘Hart’ (Hard) compound should find use in very high traction or high temperature conditions. It is also ideal for long finals a low wear rate is important.
The newest addition to the tyre compound range is the ‘SyntracK’ called special compound. It is developed for all kinds of synthetic surfaces like carpet and Astroturf. This compound is only available for the X100 to X300 tyres.
All tyres are available ready-to-use on yellow or white Tourex rims or rubber only (including moulded insert) in a pack with two tyres. Please see website for part numbers.
