Mega 2009 Engine line-up

Serpent have released details on their 2009 Mega engine line up, which are the result of continuous development in cooperation with Picco over the previous season to bring you some important modifications. The new line up is called DSIII and pricing on the Mega engines will remain on the very affordable level as before. The entire range has been given a makeover and full details on all the engines can be found below.

Mega ZX-12
DS-III – New crankshaft with smaller big-end pin, new conrod with more material in lower part, stronger, more durable, still very light-weight. New graphics on the cooling head.
DS-III EM – EM = Eduardo Modified version with black-case (above), improved lighter crankshaft with silicone, hand-selected piston/liner/conrod combination, tear-drop workings on the ports. New graphics on the cooling head

Mega ZX-21
DS-III – Improved liner-fit, the liner is seated a little higher in the crankcase, creating an even better alignment with the ports. New graphics on the cooling head.
DS-III EM – EM = Eduardo Modified version with black-case (above), improved lighter crankshaft with silicone, hand-selected piston/liner/conrod combination, tear-drop workings on the ports. New graphics on the cooling head.

Mega ZX-21
OFR DS-III – Improved liner-fit, the liner is seated a little higher in the crankcase, creating an even better alignment with the ports. New larger cooling-head. New graphics on the cooling head.
OFR DS-III EM – EM = Eduardo Modified version with black-case (above), improved lighter crankshaft with silicone, hand-selected piston/liner/conrod combination, tear-drop workings on the ports. New graphics on the cooling head.

Mega ZX-28
T DS-III – New larger cooling-head, otherwise same.
T DS-III pull-start – New larger cooling-head, otherwise same.
