New from renowned California based tool manufacturer MIP comes the release of the MIP 4-10 Legend kit, a conversion that preserves the character that made the original so special while delivering smoother acceleration, better consistency, and improved longevity.  Whether you’re restoring a shelf-queen, building a period-correct racer, or running your Team Associated RC10 hard, this conversion brings classic innovation back to life.  Over the past year and a half, MIP has gone back to its roots immersing itself in the nostalgic world of vintage RC racing, reconnecting with the community that helped shape its identity.  The Eustace Moore run company say the MIP 4-10 Legend (2026 Edition) ‘is not a reissue. This is a resurrection.’  Every detail has been carefully revisited, refined, and reimagined blending the unmistakable DNA of the original with modern engineering, materials, and precision manufacturing.  The result is a bespoke, retro-compatible kit that honours the past while performing in the present.  All new tooling, programming and manufacturing processes were applied using the current twenty first century MIP while staying a true to what and how we created the MIP 4-10 Legend in the 80’s. Modern materials and updated heat treating mean stronger, more consistent alloys improve durability and reduce long-term wear, even under today’s higher-grip tracks and power systems. Tighter machining tolerances mean improved precision results in smoother drivetrain operation, reduced slop, and more predictable power delivery.  Known load points were strengthened based on real-world racing experience, increasing reliability without compromising performance.  Few RC platforms are as iconic as the Team Associated RC10.  The original MIP 4-10 Conversion for the R10 buggy was created to do one thing exceptionally well: transform a legendary 2WD platform into something more aggressive, more planted, and more capable.  It delivered increased traction, improved drivability, and a completely different feel that racers still remember today.  Decades later, the demand never disappeared and the MIP 4-10 Conversion for the RC10 returns re-released with modern improvements while staying true to the spirit of the original.
