Hot Bodies new Cyclone prototype

Hot Bodies new Cyclone prototype

As we reported yesterday, Japanese Hot Bodies factory driver Atsushi Hara won the TITC in Bangkok, Thailand. Along with his team mate Andy Moore, the double World Champion was using a prototype version of the new Cyclone touring car chassis and we have these exclusive photos of it. We weren’t given any specifics on the car itself other than it is a prototype and parts are subject to change, but both drivers were said to be very happy with the new car’s performance and with both making the A-main and Hara taking the win, it obviously works pretty well. What we can tell from the images is that it features a new LiPo only chassis plate and that there is a different belt orientation to help bring the motor closer to the car’s centre line. Other changes are the new longer top deck, which while not a single piece from front to back, it goes the entire length between the front and rear main axles, meeting just forward of the motor position and removing the aluminium chassis brace on the right side. There also appears to be new lower front wishbones along with aluminium steering blocks and with the steering servo orientated 90 degrees to standard, there is also a new servo saver system.
