Xray RX8 lightweight locating collar
For the RX8 chassis, Xray have released this strategically lightened locating collar made from tough 7076 T6 aluminium. Replacing the composite collar used on the 2-speed shaft, its rotating mass is reduced without sacrificing strength or durability.

First Arrowmax releases this optional part and now Xray has it too. We is it necessary to upgrade this part at all? Where is the advantage?

I think they are blaming all the XRay WC clutch failures on the composite locating collar’s vast rotating mass.
