MXLR FlexFill Body Insert for Avalon Vortex Body

The most talked about body shell in RC racing at the moment, MXLR has created this FlexFill Body Insert for the Avalon Vortex 1:10 EP Touring Car Body. With its long front nose, there is a big gap to be filled between bumper and shell to keep the front in perfect shape under aero load and prevent it from bending down at high speed. Usually ordinary body shell foam is used here, which works fine in most cases – but with more than 15mm of gap to be filled in the middle section, foam is simply not a reliable option anymore. It deflects, it wiggles, and it costs you front end consistency exactly where you need it most. Already before the first big showing of the body, MXLR came up with a solution for this issue with their specially shaped FlexFill Body Inserts. Made from TPU and matched to the exact shape and angle of the Vortex front end, they provide the perfect fitment with the bidy – and a perfect match with the MXLR FlexBumpers and most kit bumpers. Installation is simple using thin double sided tape (not included) to mount the FlexFill Body Inserts inside your Vortex shell. The full set weighs only ~2.3 grams, while the amount of ordinary body foam needed to fill the same area comes in at ~1.9grams meaning you get a massive gain in stability and consistency for almost no weight penalty.
