Toy Fair 2012 – S-Workz

S-Workz are displaying their products again this year with the main focus on their S-350 BE-1. Based on their BK-1 gas buggy it retains the same front and rear ends with the centre fitted out to accept electrics. Claiming the be the narrowest chassis on a 1/8th scale buggy at 10cm near the rear of the car, it comes as a full pro kit with all the carbon and machined aluminium goodness you would expect from a high end kit. The car accepts two 2S packs standing on end at the rear of the car with the electronics at the front, all of which can be removed from the car with 7 screws. For current BK-1 owners there is a conversion kit to make the car brushless.

For both buggies there is some carbon aluminium mixed shock towers, which are half the weight of aluminium shock towers but offer the compromise between carbon and aluminium in terms of strength. Also on display is their new Eagle head body shell which is an extreme cab forward design following the trend of all the other manufacturers.

S-Workz also have their new 3-port S5 Pro engine, manufactured in Japan to their own specifications it gives high performance at an economic price. Also new on the engine front is an entry level S2 Sport motor which gives a good quality engine at a very good price.

For those starting off, S-Workz have the completely new Fox8 platform which is an entry level RTR with 2.4ghz transmitter and the S-350 BX-1 Sport which comes pre assembled with or without engine package. Based on the BK-1 the BX-1 has the same geometry but uses lower cost materials throughout to bring the price down.
