Following on from the brief piece from oOple about the In seguito alla breve pezzo da circa il oOple Atomic Carbon S2 Atomico di carbonio S2 in which we mentioned that a new 4wd buggy was spotted, comes the first teaser pictures of that car which has turned out to be an Associated B44 with new carbon fibre option parts from Atomic Carbon. Most notable is the beautiful moulded, and machined, carbon fibre tub chassis which sports a different battery layout and radio gear configuration than the original car and also that it no longer uses an upper chassis brace, probably due to the stiffness of the tub. Jimmy over at oOple managed to get some first pictures of the new Atomic Carbon S2, a car that has been around all year in various guises, gradually evolving until a layout that worked was arrived at. The picture above and below is that of a new kevlar / carbon fibre tub chassis for the Atomic Carbon S4 which UK driver Mat Dodd is currently testing. The chassis has a outer layer of kevlar and the normal inner layers of carbon fibre with the purpose of the kevlar to help reduce any wear to a minimum on the chassis. Despite running on some of the most demanding tracks in the UK Stu didn’t manage to do more than scratch one of the production Atomic towers so far (touch wood). UK based carbon fibre specialists Atomic Carbon have announced the release of these new Kyosho Ultima RB5 shock towers. Regno Unito basato specialisti in fibra di carbonio atomico Carbon hanno annunciato il rilascio di questi nuovi Kyosho Ultima RB5 shock torri. Made from 4mm carbon fibre these front and rear shock towers have been developed in conjunction with Team oOple team driver Stu Wood. Stu using the atomic carbon shock towers managed to qualify 7th out of 130 drivers, at the recent BRCA national held at Bury Metro and this is the 1st time in 15 years that a Kyosho 2wd car has made a BRCA national A final. Atomic Carbon, makers of the Atomico di carbonio, responsabili del S4 and E S2 , and masters of all things carbon fiber have shown the first pictures of their new project call the AC10. , E maestri di tutte le cose in fibra di carbonio hanno mostrato la prima foto del loro nuovo progetto chiamare il AC10. Its a 2wd buggy with tub chassis and rear mounted motor and is different from the company’s S2 chassis that is currently hitting the tracks in the UK. Il suo buggy 2wd uno con vasca e posteriore del telaio e il motore montato è diverso da quello della società S2 telaio che sta colpendo le tracce nel Regno Unito. The prototype still isn’t finished, with some parts still to arrive to complete it, but one thing is certain, it sure looks sweet. UPDATE: We have looked into it more and it turns out that it is a personal project to recreate the original RC10 in carbon and other modern materials. Former French National champion Frederic Pain has joined Ex campione nazionale francese Frederic Pain ha aderito Atomic Carbon Atomic Carbon to drive the S4 in this years French national series. A guidare la S4 in questo anno serie nazionale francese. Frederic, who was the French National champion in 2003 and 2004 and runner up last year, will be part of the French off road team that will be racing at the World Championships that takes place in Japan later this year. Frederic, che è stato il campione nazionale francese nel 2003 e nel 2004 e classificato lo scorso anno, entrerà a far parte della squadra francese off road che saranno regate al Campionato del Mondo che si svolge in Giappone entro la fine di quest'anno.
