The high capacity guarantees long drive time without needing to change the batteries meaning a one hour final is not a problem. Yet another Shepherd signing, this time its German lady racer Sabrina Lechner who following on from last months Ancora un altro Pastore firma, questa volta il suo corridore tedesco signora Sabrina Lechner, che segue da ultimo mese announcement Annuncio that she will run IDM motors has agreed to run the German made Velox for this season. Che sarà lei a eseguire IDM motori ha accettato di correre il tedesco Velox fatta per questa stagione. Alongside IDM motors, European ‘B’ Championship semi finalist Sabrina will also run the new ATS made IDM tires in this years German Nationals. Accanto IDM motori, europeo 'B' Championship semi finalista Sabrina girerà anche i nuovi pneumatici IDM ATS fatta in questo anno i cittadini tedeschi. As with all 3 new Shepherd signings announced yesterday, Sabrina had competed with Mugen until this season. Come per tutti i 3 nuovi Pastore signings annunciato ieri, Sabrina aveva gareggiato con Mugen fino a questa stagione.

JP Racing, distributors for Shepherd in France, have announced that leading French 1/8th scale racer Stephane Bouche will race the Velox in this years French and European Championships. European ‘B’ Europeo 'B' Vice Champion Vice Campione Eric Dankel from Germany has agreed a 2 year deal with Shepherd Micro Racing to drive their newly released Velox 1/8th scale chassis. Eric Dankel da Germania ha accettato di 2 anni con Pastore Micro Racing di guidare i loro appena rilasciata Velox 1/8th scala telaio. Also a top runner in the German Championships, Eric leaves behind former Sponsor Mugen, but will continue with long term engine supplier Novarossi while for fuel and tires he will be using Runner Time and PMT. Anche un top runner nel Campionato Tedesco, Eric lascia dietro ex Sponsor Mugen, ma continuerà a lungo termine con motore Novarossi mentre per il fornitore di carburante e di pneumatici che verrà utilizzato Runner Time e PMT.

With the Shepherd team, consisting of Robert Pietsch, Patrick Schäfer and Armin Weihert, in attendance to give support, Daniele quickly became comfortable with the car and could improve his lap times constantly. The race saw 50 drivers in attendance including 2 time European Champion Dario Balestri as well as Marco Vanni and Stefano Puccinelli and after Saturday’s practice session it was clear that the battle for the win would be between Dario and Daniele. After 3 qualifying rounds on Sunday morning, and with drivers battling with fuel consumption, it was Balestri that took the pole position just in front of Ielasi in 2nd. Dopo 3 turni di qualificazione la domenica mattina, e con i piloti in lotta con il consumo di carburante, è stato Balestri, che ha preso la pole position davanti a Ielasi e 2a. With changes to his muffler prior to the final Daniele immediately jumped into the lead in front of Balestri, Vanni and Puccinelli and up to the first pit stop the Velox racer could increase his lead at the front of the pack.
