Graupner & GM Racing brands live on

2013 was looking to be a tough year for Graupner / GM-Racing after parent company Graupner GmbH & Co.KG went insolvent. From the ashes comes a new company Graupner/SJ GmbH which has been founded by SJ Incorporated. Having purchased some assets like the Graupner and GM-Racing brand names, well known and respected racer Ralf Helbing, who used to be the head of development, has now taken over control of Graupner’s business activities as its managing director. The first new GM/SJ products to hit the shelves will be the GM/SJ Race motor series as well as the new GM Genius Pro speedo which is currently being tested by team drivers and has already sparked a lot of interested amongst drivers and competitors. Expect those products very soon along with many more to come such as the X8-E high-level car radio with which it will be possible to change the speedo setup during a practice run without leaving the rostrum.

Hitec HS-8330SH & HS-8335SH servos

Hitec introduce two new digital standard size servos for 1/10th and 1/8th scale applications. The HS-8330SH (0.07s/13kg-cm) and HS-8335SH (0.13s/24kg-cm) offer steel gears, dual ball bearings, and coreless motors beside heat sink cases. Both servos are useable with unregulated 7.4V LiPo receiver battery packs and work with 6.0V input also.

Hitec HS-900SGS & HS-1000SGT servos

Hitec have released the HS-900SGS and HS-1000SGT, two servos with extreme power and durability. Designed from the ground up for industrial applications, these servos are the perfect answer for 1/5th scale buggy and truggy drivers and feature all aluminium, EMI shielded cases, solid steel gears and non-programmable digital circuits. These servos can take a beating while delivering precise performance and are designed to operate on 3 and 4-cell LiPo batteries. The HS-900SGS provides swift speed (up to 0.15 sec) while the HS-1000SGT brings hefty torque (110kg/cm). Both servos are a large 64 x 33 x 73mm and weigh a hefty 363 grams each.

KO Propo America introduce a dedicated carrying case for the EX-1 KIY transmitter. Designed for right handed radios but also accepting left handed grip units it sports a pre-cut high quality foam insert, is air and watertight, dustproof and UV resistant. Made in the USA the case has a lifetime warranty, build-in padlock holes and it sports dimensions of 34.8×30.8×17.5cm.

Savöx waterproof servos

Savöx introduce two new waterproof standard-size servos in the form of the SW-0230MG and SW-1210SG. Starting with the SW-0230MG (0.13s/8.0kg-cm) the high-voltage compatible item sports an all-plastic case, a single ball bearing and full metal gears. It is ideal for both steering and throttle/brake duties on 1/8th and 1/10th applications and comes with a fully waterproof case. Also new is the SW-1210SG (0.15s/20kg-cm) standard voltage servo. Coming in a fully waterproof aluminium-plastic case and sporting steel gears the duel ball raced servo is ideally suited for 1/8th all many large scale applications.

Grid RC drop-down adapter for MT4

Grid RC have released this CNC machined steering wheel drop-down adapter for the Sanwa MT4 radio that brings the steering wheel directly in-line with the throttle trigger. The Grid RC drop down is milled so that it matches the styling of the MT4 and takes only minutes to install. Once installed, the racer will benefit from a more relaxed and comfortable hand position.

Team Orion Vortex VDS2-HV 2607 & 1605 servos

Team Orion have released two brand new servos, the Vortex VDS2-HV 2607 and VDS2-HV 1605. Both servos feature digital high-voltage technology built around a high-performance coreless motor and both are waterproof, robust and precise. In the high-grade plastic/aluminium case for best cooling a set of high-precision full metal quality gears is installed. In combination with the ultra smooth and strong coreless motor these servos will give you the great feeling and reactivity you need to be ahead of your competitors. While the VDS2-HV 2607 is built for high torque applications thanks to a rated torque of 26kg at a speed of 0.07 seconds the VDS2-HV 1605 version is perfect for high-speed usage (0.05seconds/16kg).
