Serpent have announced the contract termination with German frontrunner, Marc Fischer. The cooperation lasted for about four years with Marc delivering solid national and international results, including a double win at the prestigious Snowbird race. One of the biggest RC events in the World, the Snowbird Nationals, was once again held in Orlando, Florida, with the race attracting racers from all over North America as well as the rest of the World. The track was laid out using CRC 2 carpet that offered a very high grip right from the start which drivers had to accustom to. …2015 season started off well with another TQ and win at the Snowbird Nationals in the USA. This event is particularly competitive, with many of the World’s best 1/12th racers in attendance. Likely the biggest highlight in the history of the Xray 1/12th project was winning the European Championships on our home court at the Hudy Arena in Trencin in March 2015. IFMAR World Champion Alexander will continue to run Hot Race tyres for the upcoming season, the Swede announced. Using the tyres to grab the 2014 1/12th Euros title and the 2015 Snowbird Nationals Alex will use the Italian rubber in the 2015 season that will include appearances in 1/8th, 1/10th and 1/12th scale classes. During the recent Snowbird Nationals electric on-road legend Josh Cyrul took the TQ honours in the 1/12th 17.5 Stock class with a blistering 54/8:03. He then took maximum advantage of his TQ and led the 1st lap of the super close class where any mistake can cost several positions. Luckily, Josh had a flawless run, taking the A-main win wire to wire. After catching his breath from an outstanding 12th Modified A-main, Josh was up in the 12th 13.5 Super Stock A-main final. McPappy Racing introduce the McDominator 2.1, the chassis that just won the largest class, 13.5 Stock Spec, at the Snowbird Nationals 2015. The kit features some subtle updates such as the crossbrace that now comes with additional 90 degree supports for rock solid rear chassis strength. Also a forth side shock mounting hole was added and all mounting screws of the crossbrace now use flatheads fasteners for perfect alignment while the nerf wing has been redesigned as well. Xray have announced that the ETS F1 champion, German champion and recent Snowbird Nationals champion Jan Ratheisky will continue to be the part of the Xray team in 2015. The annual Snowbird Nationals held at the Park Inn by Radisson, in Orlando, Florida, is one of the biggest RC events in the US, if not the World. With a total of 290 entries in on-road only, it can really be considered as the “Superbowl of RC”.
