Internally designed with low timing so you can fully appreciate the torque as well as the top speed its 6 port configuration offers easy-to-tune characteristics and strong low end power. Supplied with a 14mm ‘turbo’ crankshaft, ‘knife edged’ aerodynamic connecting rod, hard chromed brass lapped 6 port liner, lightened piston CNC machined from high percentage silicone alloy billet, turbo combustion chamber insert, light weight cooling head, 14mm main bearing, front rubber sealed dust protected bearing and the latest special designed buggy composite slide carburetor with 7.0mm venturi insert.

X-Factory TLR22 carbon fibre battery strap

X-Factory have announced a new carbon fibre battery strap for the rear motor TLR 22. The new CF strap installs with just two screws through chassis holes already in the 22. Removal of the old cloth Velcro straps and installing the dialed new CF part takes less than five minutes. X Factory made the first one specially for the Bill Bridges benefit race last month, and they were so popular that they decided to produce them for the public.

Xceed Fuel gun V2

Xceed have released a new version of their popular fuel gun. It now sports a shorter nozzle and shorter front body, which makes using it easier, faster and more precise. The nozzle is optimized for the most common sizes of fuel-tank openings and the shape is perfect for 1/10 and 1/8 scale use, both on and offroad.

Takaaki Shimo wins Japanese 1/8th Nationals

The JMRCA Japanese 1/8th scale on road Nationals were held last weekend at the Boss Speed track in Tokyo. Qualifying went the way of Serpent driver Masao Tanaka with Keisuke Fukuda and Takaaki Shimo completing the top 3. In the finals it was a close battle for the win between Fukuda and Shimo, with the Kyosho driver Shimo just taking the victory by a second ahead of the Mugen of Fukuda, while Kyosho driver Takahata took 3rd spot a lap further back with top qualifier Tanaka taking 4th. The win for Shimo is his 10th Japanese title.

Durango DEX410 machine cut diff ring gear

Team Durango are pleased to announce the arrival of the machine cut diff ring gear for the DEX410, DEX410R and DESC410R models. Precision machined from high strength steel, the gear adds strength and at the same time reduces the rotating mass of the transmission. The gear is 1.2g lighter than the standard gear, giving a 10% reduction in the weight of this component.

Mugen MTX-5 1/10th 200mm chassis

Mugen Seiki Japan have released the first photos and specs for their all new 1/10th 200mm chassis, the MTX-5. Shown in CAD form for the first time at last February’s Toy Fair in Germany, the Robert Pietsch designed car looks close to release, however no date has yet been set.

Martin Bayer wins 2011 1/5th European title

Last weekend saw the European Championships for large scale touring cars held in Leipzig, Germany. Qualifying would see Czech driver Ales Bayer take the pole position running the prototype RS5 Rx12 chassis ahead of Lauterbacher driver Markus Feldmann, but following the semi finals, in which Ales would run out of fuel while leading, it would be the German on pole starting just ahead of Martin Bayer in 2nd. In the final Feldmann would lead but after only 10 laps engine trouble would take the reigning champion out of the race allowing BA Arnaldi from France to inherit the lead. A later battle with Martin Bayer saw the Czech driver get past and bring home the win at the end of the 30 minute main to claim the European title ahead of Croatian Dario Vesali in 2nd with Arnaldi finishing in 3rd.
