Serpent have announced that top-level Danish driver Martin Hansen has joined their team. Running the Serpent 733 1/10th scale chassis, Martin will contest in all National and regional events in Denmark as well as take part in the 2010 1/10th EC in Gothenburg, Sweden later this year.

oOple are again reporting that Lee Martin has taken his third 4WD national win from three rounds of the 2010 BRCA 10th off road national series, at Eden Park Raceway. Grant Williams once again took TQ and pole on the grid for the three leg finals, but problems plagued the Schumacher driver after winning leg 1. A retirement in leg 2 was followed by a car that just wasn’t quite right in leg three. Lee Martin won, Grant Williams finished second and Tom Cockerill third.

The Wisconsin Nitro Series was finally able to get underway for the 2010 season this weekend. After an unfortunate rain out on the series first week last month, Mother Nature again threatened to “rain on our parade” but we were able to get most of the event in. The threat of poor weather scared away some racers, but 70+ entries showed up for the event and were greeted with a great facility updated with many new features and a new track design. The track operated by the Reedsburg Racers Club is located about 1 hour north of the State Capitol of Madison.

oOple are reporting on round three of the 2010 BRCA 10th off road national series that was held at Eden Park Raceway in South West London yesterday. The 2WD event saw the mid motor cars of Ellis Stafford (X6) and Grant Williams (Schumacher Cougar SV) battling it out for domination during qualifying. Some amazing racing in the 3-legged finals saw Ellis Stafford take the overall win with Grant 2nd and Tom Cockerill 3rd.

MC-Ettlingen e.V. in Germany have been in touch to tell us that they are hosting the German 1/10th EFRA GP from the 18th to 20th of June. The track has previously hosted a number of large international events, including the 1/5th scale touring car World Championships back in 2001 as well as more recently the German Nationals for a number of different classes. Using a competition RTR chassis design as a foundation, the SK-10 buggy has been given all the racing features that a competition car needs and can be upgraded further to a higher spec at a later time. This RTR features mini big bore shocks with 3.5mm shock shafts and a slipper clutch differential in the center, features that are normally only available in competition kits. Available soon.
