The final race of the Mibosport Summer On-Road Cup 2014 took place at the permanent on-road track in Blansko with over 40 drivers from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland in attendance. The TQ holder in the Touring Car Modified class was open till the very last qualifying session. After three sessions, David Nemcek held the prestigious TQ spot as his main rival, Radek Flek had very bad luck due to technical problems followed by a mistake of a marshal, who put another car right into Radek’s racing line, which cost him a broken suspension and a retirement from the qualifying round. Avid acrylic touring car chassis tweak plate

Avid acrylic touring car chassis tweak plate

Avid now have this acrylic tweak plate for touring cars available. The car will be placed on top of it, the top deck screws will be loosened and tighten back up while pressing down on the car at the top and bottom of the battery and at the servo and speedo. This will help settle the chassis and get a true setting on the top deck. This acrylic tweak plate is an alternative to other units on the market and helps to save weight while travelling or keeping weight in that wallet.

Serpent Viper 977 carbon fibre chassis set

Serpent Viper 977 carbon fibre chassis set

Made for the World Championship winning Viper 977 car is this carbon fibre and aluminium chassis set from Serpent. Developed over the period of several month and finally available for release, the set offers a carbon fibre main chassis with aluminium inserts that control both the flex of the chassis as well as act as an engine heat sink. The chassis offers improved flex compared to the stock aluminium part for increased steering and improved overall traction, which can be beneficial in a range of track conditions. While the rear alloy insert is a mandatory part, the front insert is an option to control the overall twist of the chassis. Flanged aluminium inserts keep the parts in place without harming the carbon fibre. Equipped with both inserts the chassis is around 60g lighter than its alloy counterpart and Serpent’s readily available brass inserts allow to up the weight if needed.
