Akio Sobue wins at 2015 Speed King Tour Rd1

The Kazuki Endo presented Speed King Tour 2015 started at the Rajiten Nagoya indoor tarmac track this past weekend in the two electric touring car categories of Modified and Stock with more than 50 drivers in attendance. Last year’s Speed King Akio Sobue shows great speed right from the start of the qualifying and he took the TQ in the Modified class with his Tamiya TRF419. ARC driver Yusuke Goto placed his car 2nd on the grid and 2014 1/12th Electric On-road National Champion Hayato Ishioka came in 3rd with his VBC D07.

Following an exciting Stock class final that went to Masahiro Umeki, the Modified A-main got underway and the spectators saw Akio taking his first win of the year. Yusuke was not able to deny Akio the win and he finished 2nd in front of fellow ARC driver Kazuya Tomita. The next
round of the 2015 Speed King Tour will take place at World Jam indoor tarmac track in the Gunma prefecture on the 8th of March.
