JConcepts Indoor National Series Rd1 – Qualifying Rd2

Round 2 of the Winter Indoor National Series has seen an unexpected rise of the young, fast, and talented racers like Nick Gibson. The Team Associated/JConcepts driver had a near flawless run with just two minor incidents with traffic, but was able to climb his way to the front and put in the fastest time of the round with a 19 lap 5:08.35. Having not changed his car from his first run, Gibson said he was “glad to have a much better run than round 1,” and was much happier with his performance.

TLR’s Senior Product Developer Frank Root is running a basically stock kit in mid-motor form (rear motor parts are all included) at Round 1 of the JConcepts Indoor National Series with ti-screws and turnbuckles by TLR. Pushing the envelope to another level, TLR has included 2 bodies for mid and rear motor configurations for all your racing needs. Also included in the kit is the updated grooved slipper plates to help clean as well as cool the slipper pads. In addition, the kit comes with machined shock internals and the bellcrank steering assembly.

Rheinard cruises to A1 win at German ETS

Tamiya’s Marc Rheinard cruised to an unchallenged win in the opening A-Main at Round 2 of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series tonight in Germany. Posting the fastest lap of the race the Top Qualifier would win by a 1.4-seconds from the number 2 starting Yokomo of Ronald Volker and new Serpent signing Viktor Wilck both benefiting from an mistake by Yannic Prumper which saw the Yokomo driver crash out while running second.

JConcepts Winter INS – Brent Thielke’s T5M

Chassis Focus – Brent Thielke

Team Associated’s Team Manager Brent Thielke is running a production version of the T5M at round 1 of the JConcepts Indoor National Series, decked out with Factory Team option parts such as titanium turnbuckles and screws, an aluminium steering rack, rear hubs and C/D plates along other options such as a graphite battery strap, 8.5mm aluminium hexes, motor plate and shock standoffs. With the stadium truck being based off the very successful B5M platform, most of the Factory Team option parts are interchangeable and already in stock with the release date is scheduled to be in March.

JConcepts Indoor National Series Rd1 – Qualifying Rd1

After the 1st round of qualifying, the battle is starting to heat up in the Modified 2WD class at the opening round of the 2015 JConcepts Indoor National Series at Smactrac in St. Louis, Missouri. Taking the round 1 TQ was Kyosho/Orion’s Luke Richards setting the bar high with a 19 lap 5:12.64. Having a great run, Richards said he’s “not going to change a thing for round 2 and see what happens.” Since there is no saucing allowed, Richards moved his “hubs forward to get that extra traction.”

Wilck takes Q4, Rheinard Top Qualifier

In one of the most interesting qualifying battles seen at a round of the Yokomo Euro Touring Series for some time, Serpent’s new signing Viktor Wilck became the fourth different driver in as many qualifiers to top the times but it was Marc Rheinard who claimed the overall TQ honours for the German event.  The Tamiya driver went into the deciding qualifier up against the Yokomo pairing of Yannic Prumper and Ronald Volker with both drivers needing a second TQ run to better Rheinard’s faster TQ time of Q3, while Wilck took them all by surprise with his pace to top Q4 by 6/10ths of a second.  Behind Rheinard, Volker will start second followed by Prumper, Wilck and last year’s event winner Alexander Hagberg.

Rheinard TQs third qualifier at ETS

Marc Rheinard topped yet another close qualifying encounter at the second round of the ETS in Germany when the Tamiya driver claimed his first TQ run ahead of Yannic Prumper and former team-mate Viktor Wilck.  The third different driver to top qualifying in as many rounds, the result sets the stage for a three way battle between Rheinard, Prumper and defending champion Ronald Volker in the fourth & final qualifier at the Muelheim-Kaerlich event.

Ronald Volker recovered from a slow start to the second round of qualifying this morning at the Euro Touring Series in Germany to give Yokomo its second TQ run of the weekend. Initially it was Tamiya’s Marc Rheinard who set the pace while Volker was on target for the fifth fastest time, but with his BD7 improving for the second half of the run the defending Champion would come back to top the times by 0.374 over his arch rival Rheinard. Behind them last night’s Q1 pace setter Yannic Prumper completed the Top 3 followed by Viktor Wilck and Alexander Hagberg.
