Xbility One 1:28 Chassis Kit

With 1:28 onroad a category that is currently in the spotlight with a number of new chassis releases including the arrival of Team Associated into the category, new start up Xbility has been in contact about their ‘One’ kit. Designed by reigning 1:28 World Champion Jose Pequito from Portugal, the Xbility One was officially released last month (June) with the first kit batch selling out in just a week. With a second batch now in production, Xbility say the ‘One’ is ‘designed to challenge industry standards, this platform focuses on performance through innovation.’ The car debuted a completely new front-end system, featuring steering knuckles never before seen in this scale the benefits of which are multiple roll-center and camber-gain configurations. It also gets an adjustable battery positioning for precise balance tuning and a fully redesigned ball differential that eliminates the common issues found in the class. The rear bench system allows several leverage setups, giving racers the ability to tailor the car’s behaviour to any track condition. Across the platform, subtle but meaningful engineering choices provide real performance advantages.

Florida based Team Exalt has released this Carbon Fibre Handled Tool Set. Each tool in this Elite 5-piece set combines race-grade materials and head-turning design. The Carbon Fibre Handles are lightweight, ultra-strong, and built to reduce wrist fatigue. Polished Chrome Billet Aluminium End Caps offer perfect weight balance and high-end shine. The hex tips are made from Spring Steel ensuring wear-resistance and a perfect fit. Excelerate RC Prodigy Pro 10 235mm Chassis Kit

A year after becoming an onroad chassis manufacturer with the announcement of their Prodigy 12 1:12 chassis, US brand Excelerate RC has just unveiled their all-new Prodigy Pro-10 kit. Excelerate RC say the Prodigy Pro 10 is the culmination of over 36 years of racing experience, 43 Roar National Championships and IFMAR World Championship Final appearances. The main chassis is comprised of an aluminium battery tray that is the foundation for the damper blade suspension. The front chassis plate is machined from 7075 T6 aluminium while the rear flex plate and pivot plate are machined from heat treated steel to keep the centre of gravity ultra low. Premium carbon fibre components complete the main chassis. The Pro Kingpin front suspension is sliding kingpin style front end but with refinements to the details to allow improved consistency and driving precision. The 5 degree front kingpins are machined heat treated steel with an ultra smooth electroplate coating. Paired with with low friction steering block bushings that feature an internal groove to carry grease that keeps the front end damping constant from start to finish. The Pro Kingpin Adjusters allow for quick and accurate preload adjustments just by turning the adjuster.

Team Associated RC28R Team Kit

With 1:28 specialist manufacturers like Reflex Racing and RC Atomic having just released their latest competition spec kits, industry giant Team Associated has just announced its entry into the pancar category with the RC28R Team Kit. The RC28 features a fixed-arm front suspension with included optional molded upper arms for tuning caster and camber. The torsion side links (soft, medium, and hard included) replace the need for a side spring making setup easy while adding performance in areas a conventional spring does not. The battery holder design ensures quick access without disturbing the centre shock. Based on a steel chassis plate, this provides a low center of gravity while the insert adjustable roll centre enables chassis roll adjustment based on the grip level. The pitch, roll and droop can further be tuned/Adjusted with the threaded aluminium centre shock, spring collars and side damper tubes. The two-piece rear pod allows quick axle height adjustment utilising Factory Team carbon fibre shims. You can fine-tune Ackermann on the fly with the adjustable servo mount.

Feldmann Top Qualifier at 1:5 TC European Championship

Reigning 1:5 Touring Car World Champion Markus Feldmann is the Top Qualifier at the EFRA 1:5 TC European Championship in Luxembourg. Racing at the Mini Circuit “Ville de Luxembourg”, the German Mectach/GRP Tyres driver set the fastest time of the four rounds of qualifying in Q1 with France’s Alain Arnaldi Bernard his closest rival – the Genius driver setting his fastest time in Q3. 2022 European Champion & winner of Round 2 of Euro Large Scale Series (ELS) held at the same track earlier this month, Italy’s Edoardo Repetti completed the Top 3 ahead of Norway’s Marius Hetland. For defending Champion Dario Veseli it was a tough qualifying with the Croatian driver finding himself P11.

EBRC S35 Front Hub Weight System

New from EBRC, the brand of newly crowned 9-time British 1:8 Nitro Buggy National Champion Elliott Boots, comes this Front Hub Weight System for the Sworkz S35 1:8 Buggy platform. Engineered to optimise steering response during acceleration phases that occur while decelerating, the system includes a carbon fibre plate that securely holds the steering hubs in position, enhancing overall stability and steering precision. Anodised Brass Weights, 2 x 5gram and 2 x 10gram, allow fine-tuning of the front-end weight distribution based on driving needs. The modular weight system improves steering sensitivity during deceleration-induced acceleration, providing better control and responsiveness. Also new from EBRC for the S35 are Hard Coated 7075-T6 Aluminium Front & Rear Shock Standoffs which feature enhanced surface hardness for superior wear and corrosion resistance. 2025 SIGP International Offroad GP – Announcement

After a hugely successful return to the international racing calendar last year, Sunpadow has announced November 5-9th as the dates for the 2025 SIGP International Offroad Grand Prix. Last year saw World Champion Davide Ongaro take the win on his SIGP debut ahead of fellow Italian Mattia Polito with Bruno Coelho completing the podium ahead of eBuggy winner David Ronnefalk. Taking place at 3-circle ARC International RC Racing Track in Xiamen, China, the same venue that hosted the 2017 IFMAR 1:10 Electric Offroad World Championships, the SIGP International Offroad Grand Prix also counts American Ryan Lutz and Germany’s Joern Neumann as past champions. With the introduction of visa-free entry to China for many European countries, this boosted the international entry on the events return after Covid. Organised by Sunpadow Batteries, the huge offroad & onroad racing facility located on the same grounds as their battery factory, registration for the SIGP will open September 15th. Red RC will be travelling to Xiamen again this year to cover all the racing action.
