Speedzone Evolution 2S Battery Packs

Speedzone has expanded its battery range with the release of three new Evolution lipo packs. The Evolution 7800mAh 140C 7.6V Mid Size HV Shorty is ideal for 1:8 use offering plenty of runtime measuring 113x47x25.1mm and weighing 263 grams. The Evolution 4600mAh 140C 7.4V 2S ULCG Shorty battery pack is great for 1:10 Modified Touring Car and Buggy and weighing 170 grams measures 95x47x18.5mm. The third of the packs is the Evolution 5000mAh 150C 2S 7.4V ULCG Ultra-Thin Lipo. Just 17.5mm in height and with excellent low resistance and high average voltage, it is ideal for 1:10 onroad spec classes. Each of the packs features 5mm inboard connectors.

T-Works MBX8R Graphite Rear Hub Link ±1.5mm

New from aftermarket parts & accessories producer T-Works are these +1.5mm Carbon Fibre rear hub links for the Mugen Seiki MBX8R 1:8 Buggy. Machined from quality carbon fibre, the links feature a wider range of mounting options than the original kit links. With two rows of mounting holes that are 1.5 mm up or down from the original hole locations this allows for greater fine tuning of the buggy’s rear roll centre set-up.

Gimar engines for 1:8 GT Champion Senesi

Italian engine manufacturer Gimar has announced the return of reigning 1:8 GT EFRA European Champion and IFMAR World Championship finalist Natanaele Senesi to its team line-up. Gimar’s Giovanni Crea and Senesi have previously worked together for many years and reunited the Italian driver will now concentrate on developing Gimar’s engines for 1:8 GT class. With the 2025 European Championship coming up next weekend he will be one of their leading drivers in Leipzig as well as at the IFMAR World Championship in Chile in September. On the announcement Senesi said, ‘I know Giovanni since many many years now, and I now that we can do something special together. Our goal? Win!’

Serpent Mini Spider 1:24 RTR Short Course

Better known for their high end onroad competition cars, Serpent has released this ‘fun’ 1:24 Mini Spider SC RTR. Made of super elastic plastic, the 2WD chassis is powered by a coreless motor that takes the Short Course truck up to 20km/h. If this is too fast for you in the living room or children’s room, you can also reduce the speed thanks to a rotary control nub. Throttle/brake and steering commands are sensitively implemented in full proportion by the 2.4GHz remote control. The Mini Spider SC has built-in ‘Electronic Stability Program’ (ESP) which keeps the rear-drive vehicle always well on track even on smooth surfaces such as laminate or tiled floors. Thanks to a built-in ‘gyro’, the truck detects unnatural movements of the rear and steers automatically against it to prevent a breakaway (to a certain extent).

WIRC Racing SBX4 1:8 Buggy

Italian manufacturer WIRC Racing has officially unveiled their new 1:8 Competition Buggy contender the SBX4. Having just added Fabrizio Teghesi to its team driver line-up, the new buggy they will race features a new rear suspension system and reinforced front hubs. The upgraded front bumper and stone guards provide maximum protection from impacts and debris, while the refined chassis layout enhances rigidity and weight distribution. Additionally, the rear wing stay and anti-roll bar mount have been improved to ensure optimal downforce and precise cornering.

7075.it MBX8 R ECO Conversion Kit

Italian after market parts producer 7075.it has released a new conversion kit for the Mugen Seiki MBX8 R ECO 1:8 Buggy. The 7075 SPC Kit is based on a completely redesigned alu chassis with hard black anodising. The design gives better weight balance and rotates the motor 180° and moves it more forward wit the saddle-pack batteries moved to the rear. A new type of central transmission is perfectly aligned with the central differential which is moved to the centre of the chassis for greater efficiency of rotating parts and improved smoothness. There is a new battery trays for 2S shorty batteries with two mounting positions on the chassis: one forward for more aggressive cornering, and one rearward for greater stability. A new receiver/ESC/servo mounting plate made from a single 3D-printed plastic piece for weight balance and easy maintenance. The new 3mm thick servo saver brace is machined from a solid 6mm block. The design allows mounting on both the 7075 SPC kit and the original kit by simply moving the front reinforcement brace anchor point.

T-Works Mi9/FT9 Hex Adapters

New from T-Works are these 6mm Bearing Wheel Hub Axle adapters for the Schumacher Mi9 and FT9 Electric Touring Cars. Made from lightweight 7075 aluminium alloy with black hard coated process they are offered in a standard offset and a +1mm offset. Widening the car with the +1mm will enhance stability. Each option is sold as a pair.

Fenix Racing G56.2-200 200mm Pro10

Italian manufacturer Fenix Racing have released a 200mm version of their G56.2 Pro10 kit which it is calling the G56.2-200. The 200mm class is a niche of Pro10 class and more suited for indoor or small twisty circuits. Working side to side with Roman Krejčí, they started to develop the G56.2-200 in 2024 spending the whole year testing as the 200 is not a simply “scaled down” version of the G56.2. There are quite a few difference between the models however they do share the same heritage and backbone, such as the V-link suspension. While developing the G56.2-200, Roman found the time to win the Moravskoslezsky Cup and the Moravian Le Mans Series with it. The “200” is sharing most of the mechanical parts with the G56.2, but is sporting a proprietary chassis, which can be configured to use shorty or touring lipo battery, allowing the use in mini endurance races. While working on the project, Fenix Racing choose to upgrade the 200mm sphere differential to Mk3 specs, making the G56.2-200 a brilliant choice for the Pro10-200 or WGT class.
