Thurston adds 2nd win of British 1:8 Onroad title defence
Reigning BRCA British 1:8 Onroad National Champion Alex Thurston added a second win to his 2025 tally as he claimed victory at the 3rd round of the championship at Adur last weekend. Driving his Nova Engines powered Mugen Seiki, Thurston secured the TQ at the tight and twisty track ahead of the Shepherd of main title rival Tim Wood. Craig Hook, also driving a Shepherd, completed the Top 3 on the grid for the half hour final. While Thurston would set the fastest lap of the race on his way to a convincing victory, unfortunately for Wood it was to be a DNF, the former Champion having a tough run since winning the season opener at Brooklands – engine issues at Round 2 dropped him to a P4 finish at Cotswold. In the end it was Hook who finished second with Neil Diver, who qualified P5, completing the podium ahead of the No.4 car of Andrew Hastings.
