F1RCFIA Series – Announcement

Spransy Raceway in Waterloo, Wisconsin, has announced the very first F1RCFIA Series.  The nearest onroad track to the state’s famous global race announcer & organiser Scotty Ernst, F1RCFIA Midwest Racing Series is a monthly 4 race 1:10 Formula 1 Series that begins in late September and concludes in December with the final race and awards ceremony.  The team based series, 2 drivers running identical liveries, has attracted the support of Tamiya, Motiv, 1up Racing, Exotek, Everty Hobbies, Excelerate RC, Alpha Raceway, F1RC Paintlab, and one of the unique aspects of the series will be that each race will feature a new layout based on current global formula tracks.  Events will include 3 qualifiers and 10 minute mains featuring pits stops with lighting.  There will be custom designed trophies/prizes for drivers and constructors championship.  A special “Livery Legends” awards will go out to the team that embodies the most realistic race gear swag and F1 body paint work.  Currently there are 17 teams registered, meaning F1RCFIA boasts one of the largest RC team event series.  In addition to the main Formula 1 race format, there is a Porsche Cup support series which will run on the same race day.
