PIP-Aero ‘ThreeThirty’ 1:5 Body ‘Aero+’ front splitter

German body shell producer PIP-Aero has created a new front aero package for the ‘ThreeThirty’ 1:5 Touring Car body it released last August in the form of the ‘Aero+’.  While their standard Front Piece provides a solid baseline for airflow and moderate downforce, the new “AERO+” Front Piece elevates the Body dynamics to an entirely new level.  The primary goal of this development was to significantly increase front-axle efficiency for higher cornering speeds.  The “AERO+” design differs from the standard concept through two critical modifications – Attack Angle, and Extended Front Splitter.  The front section features a much steeper inclination against the wind.  This does more than just optimise drag, it directs airflow more effectively over the bodywork to minimise turbulence.  The enlarged splitter creates a massive pressure differential.  By stalling air on top of the lip while accelerating the flow beneath it, the component generates a powerful vacuum effect.  This aerodynamic overhaul delivers significantly higher downforce, sharper steering response, and maximised front-end grip  To adapt to different track characteristics, the front section is available in 1,0mm and 1,5mm thickness.
