Tekno NB48 Option Parts

Newly crowned European 1:8 eBuggy Champion manufacturer Tekno has released a new of new option parts for its NB48 1:8 Buggy platform including a CNC, hardened, Vented rake Disc, Centre Rear & Front Dog Bones, and a Team Spec Differential Gear Set. The new Vented Brake Discs delivers improved braking consistency, reduced rotating mass, and factory-quality performance. Manufactured from hardened steel and precision ground for a perfectly flat braking surface, these discs provide a smooth, consistent feel right out of the package. Featuring 24 cross-drilled vent holes, the discs help improve cooling while reducing weight. Rotating mass is reduced by 3.5 grams per pair, quickening drivetrain response, and possibly resulting in a slight fuel mileage improvement during longer mains.

The Team Spec Differential Gear Set features precision-ground gears to deliver a smoother, more forgiving driving feel that improves overall flow around the track. The result is a car that’s easier to drive consistently, especially on bumpy and low-grip surfaces where maintaining momentum is critical. The gears are a direct replacement but Tekno recommend significantly heavier differential oils with the Team Spec – often close to double the viscosity used with the standard gears. This opens up a new tuning window while maintaining the smooth, predictable handling characteristics.

Tekno say their new Centre Rear and Centre Front Dog Bone allow you to fine-tune your NB48 2.2 drivetrain. Precision machined from hardened steel, these centre dog bones reduce driveline friction compared to traditional centre universal driveshafts. Reduced rear-end squat under acceleration provides a consistent and predictable driving experience. The dog bones can be run as a complete set or mixed with the standard centre universal driveshafts in the front or rear, giving drivers another tuning option to suit different track conditions and driving styles. With fewer moving parts, they also require less maintenance.

Finally Tekno has introduce redesigned Short Shock Boots, made specifically for their A/B length shocks. Featuring an all-new, highly durable design, these boots are far more resistant to ripping and tearing, providing long-lasting protection for your shock shafts. By keeping dirt and debris away from the shock shafts, the new boots help maintain smoother, more consistent suspension performance while reducing contamination inside the shocks. This means less frequent shock rebuilds, making them especially beneficial for bashers and anyone who goes longer between maintenance intervals.
