Yokomo MS2.1 Competition Touring Car

A year after the release of the MS2.0 Touring Car, and with the ISTC World Championships coming up in November at Huge RC in Thailand, Yokomo has announced that they have the MS2.1 on the way. The World Championship winning Japanese manufacturer has shared a CAD image of the car while also sharing details of what is to come describing the new MS2.1 as a further refinement of the Master Speed Series MS2.0. On the Master Speed MS2.1, the rear belt position has been moved closer to the battery which optimises the force applied to the centre pulley when drive power is increased. Additionally, the gap between the two bearings inside the centre pulley has been widened to improve retention accuracy, preventing pulley wobble and enhancing drive efficiency and durability. Other new features include
the front suspension arm now being longer by 1mm, and featuring a new front shock and sway bar mounting position. A new motor mount features a motor position raised by 0.5 mm which helps when using thinner chassis and provides a different roll characteristics. A lower centre of gravity has been achieved with new shock plastic parts and a new shock towers for the front and rear while the shock mounting position has also been optimised. These new parts on the 2.1 further improve the car’s capabilities and inherent potential across all track surfaces, evolving into a highly competitive machine. To allow existing MS2.0 owners enjoy the benefits of the Master Speed MS2.1, a conversion kit is also scheduled for release. The MS2.1 will be released simultaneously in three chassis specifications—carbon, aluminium, and steel! This means you can choose your kit for the various driving conditions and preferences.
