Having revealed its first entry into the 1:28 competition market yesterday with a single rolling chassis image, RC Xpress has sent us more images of how a completed Pixel Z1 will look. Opening pre-orders for the kit, the Hong Kong manufacturer say the kit combines race bred design features and a economical price point. They added, stability and ease of assembly was put as a top priority whilst designing the Pixel Z1. Explain the car in more detail, the narrowed chassis plate is intended to create less scrub on bumpy RCP surfaces for more consistent handling. On the car, the extra long suspension arms allow for easier control in corners by slowing down the camber change. Caster is adjustable by adjusting the shims on the upper arm mount, move the shims towards the front or back to adjust. An easy to build 64p gear differential offers consistent performance on high grip RCP tracks and you get two different pinions to choose from according to what speed motor you are running. The kit includes a direct steering servo horn for the fastest and most direct steering response. Ackermann and bump steer can be adjusted through adding shims under the ballstuds. Grease filled side dampers ensure a more consistent handling car, change to thicker or thinner greases for a different setup according to track conditions. Adjusting pod droop is made via the adjustment nut in the centre damper, which is on a threaded shaft for easy fine tuning through tightening or loosening. The battery compartment is designed for medium sized hard pack LiPo’s out of the box with the included O-ring allowing easy and secure battery mounting. The Pizel Z1’s body mounts follow traditional mounting pattern allowing you install hard plastic bodies without modification.
