Cayote Crest 8 EVO Firmware Update

Cayote has just released a firmware update for their Crest 8 EVO speed controller.  With the 1:8 Electric Buggy & Truggy optimised Crest 8 EVO launched this time last year, the new V2.0.1 firmware gives improved sensored-to-sensorless commutation transitions in Hybrid Mode with optimised Hall sensor signal detection.  It also includes Protection Updates.  Momentary Power-Loss Protection means gradual power reduction at low voltage, with continued operation if voltage recovers within 2 seconds.  Sensored Mode Fault Detection adds Hall sensor failure filtering in Full Sensored Mode, with alternating red and green LED flashes upon failure.  The firmware update is available via the Cayote Team App.
