IFMAR 1:8 Onroad World C/ships publish Stage 1 Reports

Following IFMAR’s recent release of its 2027 Calendar in which 4 of the season’s five World Championships are listed, the two Nitro Onroad events have just published their Stage 1 Reports in preparation for hosting the sport’s most coveted races.  Both iconic and world famous tracks, their Stage 1 reports give basic information to help those planning to attend with the follow up Stage 2 Report outlining more specific & detailed information for competitors attending.  Lostallo with its Swiss mountains backdrop hosts the 1:8 GT Worlds from 26-31 July with two titles to be crowned in that time – Nitro GT and Electric GT.  Only the 4th running of the GT Worlds, in the Stage Report compiled by the Swiss RC Car Clubs Association (SRCCA) and the Mini Racing Ticino and Moesa (MRTM), it is interesting to note that the nearest airport to the 2009 1:8 Onroad Worlds track is actually across the border in Italy.  Milano Malpensa Airport (MXP) is located 130kms from the small village.  Having just hosted the final round of the Italian National Championship over the weekend, Fiorano is located in Italy’s famous Modena region famed for its traditional Balsamic Vinegar and a certain car manufacturer known for its scarlet red models.  In its Stage 1 Report, host club New Minicar Fiorano A.S.D. goes into a little more specific details regarding its schedule which runs from 2-12 September but hopefully the 12th spare weather day won’t be required.  IFMAR’s original category continues to be the longest event despite calls each year for it be reduced.  To view the full Stage 1 Reports click here for 1:8 GT and here for 1:8 Onroad.
