JConcepts Indoor Nationals Series Rd2 – Seeding

The 2015 JConcepts Indoor Nationals Series is underway at Tacoma R/C Raceway in Washington State. With approximately 230 entries and racers from all across the nation joining in on this epic event presented by JConcepts. With 3 minute seeding rounds and taking the top 3 consecutive fast laps to sort the qualifying starting order, practice will give a sneak peak into this weekend’s action packed racing. Reigning INS champion, Ryan Maifield has made the trip to the Pacific NW to defend his 2WD and 4WD titles against young up and coming threats like AE/JConcepts’ Spencer Rivkin and Michael Schoettler. Also hungry to prove himself and looking strong this weekend is NW local, Kyosho/JConcepts’ Tanner Day.

Taking top honors for seeding in the 2WD Modified class was none other than local favorite, Michael Schoettler putting his B5M to the front of the pack for tomorrow’s qualifying rounds. Getting faster with every pack, Ryan Maifield has started to find his groove and is starting to show his true world-class speed and placed his Orion powered TLR 22 just 0.3 seconds behind over 3 laps. Putting in a strong start to the weekend, Kyosho/JConcepts’ Tanner Day would round out the top 3 for seeding.

The top two in 2WD would find themselves battling in 4WD as well, but this time it would be Ryan Maifield coming out on top with a nice comfortable margin of over 0.7 seconds. Next closest competitor would be Michael Schoettler followed by recently crowned stock national champion, Spencer Rivkin seeding 3rd.

In the Modified Truck class, Kysho/JConcepts’ Ryan Matesa had the pace to seed his RT6 in 1st while AE/JConcepts’ Spencer Rivkin and teammate John Walentia would seed 2nd and 3rd respectively. The top 3 drivers would finish only 0.6 seconds apart.

The battle was also intense in the stock buggy class with TLR’s Casey Vitale taking top honors while Jonny Deck would finish seed 2nd only 0.3 seconds behind. Brian Autry would round out the top 3 with a strong run in seeding.

With the recent release of new trucks from the major manufacturers, stock truck has seen quite a resurgence in the past few weeks. David Mclean would showcase his talents and put his TLR 22T out in front of a very competitive field. Kyosho’s Evan Overmars and Shane Border would close out the top 3.
