Following the recent release of their front body support for the Schumacher Mi9 touring car, Hong Kong’s Takashima D-13 has now produced a rear body support. Weighing only 1.5 grams, the 3D printed piece is engineered to prevent deformation of lightweight body shells at high speed and reduce the chances of wheel arch cracking. Additionally Takashima D-13 has added a 3D Printed Lightweight Bumper for the Awesomatix A12 1:12 chassis. Produced using durable material, it comes in at a weight of 4.2 grams. Wanting for some time to create a tool that makes filling and bleeding Awesomatix dampers easier and more reliable, German brand Boom RC introduces its ‘Bubble Flow’ tool. The touring car manufacturer’s new damper is a technical improvement over the MMX, but clean filling without air bubbles has often been a test of patience so Boom RC came up with the solution to raise the damper on the cap side so the screws are completely surrounded by oil – and where there’s oil, there’s no room for air. New from MXLR comes this M-FlexBumper for the Awesomatix A800 platform which is a weight optimised version of the German brands popular FlexBumper. The goal of the new ‘M-shape’ bumper was to offer a lighter version thas remains stable and strong enough. Michal Orlowski’s unbeaten run in the Euro Touring Series continued over the weekend as the Schumacher driver opened the latest season with another win at Apeldoorn in the Netherlands. In a repeat performance of 12-month earlier, Orlowski secured the TQ topping 3 of the 4 qualifiers while Practice Top Seed Lucas Urbain took the final qualifier to line up P2 on the grid with his Awesomatix. Schumacher’s reigning British Electric Touring National Champion Elliott Harper took the first win of his title defence with a dominant win at Round 2 of the BRCA Championship held at the Stafford track over the weekend. Having opened the French National Championship with a win last month, Awesomatix Lucas Urbain made it 2 from two with another win this time at the MRC Longvic track near Dijon. Wrapping up an early TQ ahead of RC Maker’s Antoine Brunet and the Mugen Seiki of multiple National Champion Remi Callens, in the triple finals Urbain found himself under more pressure.
