SWorkz Apollo 1/8th Pro RTR electric buggy

Following a couple of teasers SWorkz have finally unveiled the Apollo 1/8th Pro ready-to-run electric buggy. The vehicle is based off of the S35-2E Pro kit with whom it shares most of its race-inspired features such as the 7075 aluminium chassis. The front and rear shock towers are made of 7075 aluminium and the buggy utilises the S350 BK1 Pro Kit big bore version 2.0 shocks with 4mm shafts. The drivetrain is equipped with high performance crown and pinion gears and oil-filled differentials provide traction and balance on multiple off-road surfaces while the pivot ball steering system gives the driver sharp and accurate feedback. The buggy also comes pre-adjusted with a race-inspired base setting for an easy driving feeling. The kit is rounded out by high-quality Hobbywing electronics such as the SWorkz SE-100 100A 1/8 BL speed controller and the buggy is powered by the S-ePower SP2150 BL 3670 motor. The set is rounded out by the SES-2S 12kg-cm Savöx-made steering servo with metal gears, a 2.4Ghz radio system, and a clear, pre-cut body shell.

Vaterra 1968 Ford F-100 Ascender BND

Coming soon from Horizon Hobby is the Vaterra 1968 Ford F-100 Ascender Bind-N-Drive 1/10th 4WD trail truck. It builds on the Ready-to-Run variant but comes without a transmitter and features working LED lights, an officially licensed Ford F-100 body and a caged back with real aluminium panels and spare tyre. The cab is painted in an era correct two-tone colour combo and the truck uses existing Spektrum DSMR/DSM2 radios. Other parts needed for completion include a 2S shorty LiPo pack with EC3 connector and a suitable charger.

Reds WR7 Diamond LTD & HE High Efficiency engines

Reds Racing have announced that their WR7 Diamond 3.5cc buggy engine is now available in two different variants, as LTD standard and new HE High Efficiency LTD edition. The WR7 LTD offers the classic high-power 7-ports powered band while the HE High Efficiency variant utilises a low fuel consumption system and smooth power band for improved drivability. In addition both engines come with the improved HCX carburettor that sports a redesigned low speed needle and a new 7075 aluminium fuel intake for improved tuning stability in extreme temperatures.

Capricorn C803EP 1/8th electric on-road kit

Following a first teaser image, Capricorn have fully unveiled their C803EP 1/8th electric on-road kit. Based off of the successful C803 nitro car, the electric-powered variant features an updated radio tray design to accommodate dual LiPo shorty batteries to comply with the latest EFRA rules, while the 1-piece motor mount allows for easy gear mesh adjustment and the use of motors with both M3 or M4 screw mounting pattern. On addition the motor mount utilises a carbon fibre motor fan mount for 40mm units to keeping the motor temperatures down. The side belt tensioner also received an update to work with the new motor mount and the single speed transmission makes use of nitro 2nd gear gears in the 56T to 58T range as well as 23T to 25T pinions. Capricorn recommends 2600kV brushless motors although been slightly slower 2100vK motors can be used.

HRC Racing battery analyser & servo tester

Coming from HRC Distribution is the HRC Racing battery analyser and servo tester. The device is compatible with all common battery chemistries and it allows to check 1S to 8S LiXX batteries swiftly and conveniently while showing overall voltage and remaining capacity, and also the individual cell voltage, lowest and highest cell voltage, and voltage difference between the highest and lowest cell in a pack. The battery analyser also offers a balancer function for LiXX batteries as well as integrated servo testing capability.

Zen Racing 1/12th double left clamping hub

Zen Racing have introduced their new double left clamping positive wheel lock hub for 1/12th scale pan cars. This new design left clamping hub will fit any of today’s 1/12th scale axles and it is made to give a positive location to the wheel which when secured will not twist or buckle. The double clamp screws also ensue the hub does not slip on the axle and supports the hub to run true. The hub is wider than normal hubs so rear track width adjustment may be required.

Bullitt B-222 3.5cc nitro off-road engine

Nemo Racing have announced the soon release of the new Bullitt B-222 3.5cc nitro off-road engine. The club-level engine features comes with a 21J3-I carburettor for easy tune characteristics while the standard-height aluminium cooling head ensures steady power even under harsh conditions. The dependable, low-maintenance engine offers upgrade capability for competing at the highest levels with option parts being available for updating the outer and inner heads, crankcase, crankshaft and more. The power plant will become available by mid to end of November.
