Simon Kurzbuch sweeps Guan Kou Sunpadow Grand Prix

The Guan Kou Sunpadow RC Car Grand Prix was held in Xiamen last weekend and it was Simon Kurzbuch who swept the 1/8th Nitro On-road class. In qualifying Simon took the TQ honors with a good margin over freshly crowned Italian champion Marco Vanni and in the main final Simon quickly stormed away from the rest of the field. Controlling the race from the top he was never challenged for the lead and took a convincing victory.

Ultimate Racing MZ8 Pro BL motor & MX8 Race ESC

Modelix Racing from Spain have introduced their all-new Ultimate Racing MZ8 Pro brushless motor and MX8 Race brushless speed controller. Starting with the motor, the 690-size unit features a CNC-machined 3-piece 7075 aluminium case with integrated heatsink and it is of a 6-pole design for power and drivability. Strong neodymium magnets ensure high torque and an optimised stator design, dual high-quality ball bearings and pre-soldered quick-change heavy duty connectors make for high reliability. The motor is available in 1900kV and 2100kV variants and it includes pre-soldered wires.

Folman & Gosvig win at DRCMU series Rd3

Round three of the Danish DRCMU series was held in Randers last weekend. The large track was laid out with grey ETS carpet and after some very competitive qualifiers it was Patrick Folman with the TQ in the Touring Super Stock class from Mike Gosvig 2nd and Kevin Nielsen 3rd. In the A-mains it was Patrick with the win in A1 while Mike came out fastest in A2 to shift the decision for the overall win to the third and final main. A3 then saw again Patrick taking a narrow 0.3s win from Mike while Kevin came in 3rd, only 1.4s short of Mike. Overall it was Patrick with the win from Mike 2nd and Kevin 3rd.

Simon Horak successful at Top Speed Challenge

The Czech Modelklub RK club played host to a round of the Top Speed Challenge last weekend. The race was held on a tight and technical track and in the Formula class it was Simon Horak (Xray) with the TQ and win in the A-main from the Xray duo of Radek Rusmich and Petr Svaták.

Cole Ogden wins Pro Buggy at Fall Brawl warm-up

The Fall Brawl warm-up race was held at Badlands RC last weekend. In the Pro Nitro Buggy class it was newly signed HB Racing pilot Cole Ogden, who scored a popular TQ with his Reds Racing-powered ride. In the 20-minute main final it was again Cole who was able to come out on top, leaving behind Jason Smith (Mugen/Reds Racing) in 2nd and HB Racing/O.S. Engines’ John Michael McGinty in 3rd.

Ripmax Extremo 1/10th 4WD rock crawler

Coming from Ripmax is the Extremo 1/10th 4WD RTR rock crawler. The vehicle features a composite tub chassis, long travel suspension components and it is powered by a 540-size brushed motor. The rock racer comes pre-assembled, including steering servo, speed controller, a 2200mAh 7.4V LiPo battery pack and a suitable wall charger along a 2.4GHz radio system. The kit is rounded out by a pre-decorated body shell with driver figure and grippy all-terrain tyres on beadlock-style wheels.
